I've been in Ungasan for a week now. Had breakfast at the In Salt Cafe Restaurant bar on my second day and which was lovely. Beautiful interior, wonderful friendly staff. I was then advised by a friend to go for dinner and didn't regret it for a second. I had the fishcakes to start (basically a main in itself) followed by the fried squid in garlic butter. Both dishes blew my tastebuds. Without a doubt the best food I've had in Bali yet. Also very reasonably priced and generous portions. Authentic Indonesian n western cafe owned by Javanese & Australian couple. You can see from menu lots of variant n super tasty food w great service. fast WiFi, good music n Javanese interior with surf ambience. Mandatory place to stop before you go to Balangan beach. The pizza is super cheap 45K (large pizza) w good quality of ingredients & tastes. The alcohol also amazing, original taste n quite strong, try the mojito - 35k only. We ordered nasi campur, it came w many dishes, I think the best nasi campur in Bukit and only 35k. Great place to go for a cold beer after a long day surfing. Cocktails are great & excellently priced! The food is a mixture of Indonesian & Western & again is very well priced & delicious. I can recommend the Thai fish cakes as starter. For mains The coconut curry, Gado Gado, Mie Goreng or Fish burger. Staff are super friendly & u are always greeted with a smile.
