Warung Solo Via — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

30 years now a regular customer we started with a sand floor and max 5000 rupiah for the food with only surfer and locals as customers. Prices are still comparative- food got even better. As uluwathu changed face totally in the past 3 years it is a good feeling that sola still stands as a beacon of the past. I just feel pity for the once letting not 5 stars as they totally don’t get the concept and history they are better if in one of the many canggu style restaurants popping up left and right and forcing traditional business out. This said for sure they forced me out and it’s most likely my last visit to uluwathu and bali as a whole. To Great are the changes and I don’t want to adopt but keep my memories dear. As an Indonesian, I was surprised when I knew this place from foreigner. This place looks famous for foreigners. We can find some delicious Indonesian foods here, from Tempe Penyet, Nasi Goreng / Fried Rice, Nasi Campur, Soto / Noodle Soup, etc. For Nasi Campur, you can choose and take it yourself, there is a choise between nasi merah, nasi kuning, and nasi putih. Warung Local and Warung Kude were recommended to us by friends but we whilst those places weren’t bad by any measure, they didn’t deliver the flavorful Indo food that we were craving.
