CUPPA Espresso Bar Coffee,Breakfast&Brunch — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

The coffee was great, but unfortunately the service left us very disappointed. We visited with our 2-year-old and ordered food and coffee. My husband went up to order pancakes and was told they would take 15 minutes. We paid for them at the counter.

Oddly, my nasi goreng arrived much quicker than the pancakes. After 50 minutes of waiting—and checking in every 20 minutes—we were continuously told they’d be “7 minutes” or “coming soon.”

Eventually, with a hungry and restless toddler, we decided to leave and asked for a refund for the pancakes. The staff claimed we never paid, despite us showing proof of the transaction from our bank. She insisted the payment didn’t go through and pointed to a completely different transaction.

The situation happened half a year ago, but I have to write, because the memories evoke negative emotions. One guy stuck to me on the road, pawed me, and then tried to knock my bike off the road and forced me to stop in every possible way. My boyfriend and I found this guy at Cuppa and brought the police. EVERY employee of the cafe started lying that the guy never left the cafe and had been here all day. They said I was making things up. I asked to see the video cameras installed in the cafe to prove that I was right. They said they didn't work and refused to give me the boss's number.An hour later, we found evidence from other videocameras mounted on the villas and pointed at the road. This is hands down our favourite cafe in Bali! We’ve been coming here for breakfast every morning during our trip, and it’s been perfect every time. The food is absolutely delicious, but what really makes this place special is the people.

This morning they had just run out of almond milk (which I always get in my almond latte), and without hesitation, one of the lovely staff members actually went to the shop just to get almond milk for me so I could still have my usual! That level of kindness and care is so rare and so appreciated.
