Frankieās Legian ā A Mixed but Mostly Disappointing Experience
Our recent visit to Frankieās Legian had its highlights but, unfortunately, left much to be desired in terms of both food and service. Hereās a breakdown of our experience:
Food Quality
The menu offered a range of options, but most of what we tried lacked flavor and attention to detail:
⢠Calamari: The calamari was underwhelmingālacking flavor and the freshness youād expect. Its bland taste and rubbery texture made it a disappointment. ⢠Curry Sauce: The curry sauce did not improve things; it lacked depth and balance, adding little to the flavor of the meal and falling short of expectations. ⢠Sides: The spinach, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes were all bland, served at a tepid temperature, and tasted as though little care had been taken in their preparation. ⢠Steak: The steak was the one bright spot. Cooked well and with good flavor, it stood out in an otherwise unremarkable meal. However, even this single highlight couldnāt redeem the overall experience.
Seasoning and Condiments
An unusual frustration was the lack of adequate seasoning options. Only small sachets of salt and white pepper were available, which felt inadequate when most dishes arrived underseasoned. The ability to add some more nuanced flavor would have been welcome.
Service
The service was another mixed experience. While some staff members were friendly and welcoming, others seemed disengaged and inattentive. There were six staff members on duty, yet many appeared more interested in chatting among themselves than in attending to the guests. This inconsistent attitude gave us the impression that guest satisfaction wasnāt a priority, detracting significantly from the ambiance and experience.
Overall Impression
In summary, Frankieās Legian fell short in multiple areas. From underwhelming food that needed more care and flavor to inconsistent service that left us feeling overlooked, it was far from the enjoyable dining experience we had hoped for.
Final Recommendation: While the bar may still be a decent spot for a quick drink, we would suggest other dining options if youāre looking for a memorable meal. Frankieās has potential, but they need to address both the kitchenās attention to detail and the staffās attitude to provide a consistently...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had family dinner there. The place deserves the rate it gets on google. *Food: simply, good to very good, especially when extremely good value for money ratio is considered *Service: is excellent, friendly and quick *Drinks/cocktails: are well prepared as they should *Cleanliness: very tidy, neat, one could tell someone pays attention to the details
Food was really good. Everyone enjoyed it. I had bbq chicken wings for a started. I am not the biggest fan of bbq, but this time it was really good. Also covered with sesame. Nice surprise. Then i had an Eye steak as they call it here, for second. It is simply a tenderloin. Both dish were tasty, with original flavor, making it relly something to enjoy. My wife went for second only, sea food plater, wich was well prepared. She loved it. It looked really rich with variety. Surprisingly it came with french fries on the same platter, which we found a little odd. My son tried oysters for starters, which he liked and Steak as sandwich for second. They serve it with fries as well. Fries are bery well done, crispy, freshly made as they should be. Finally my daughter took a burger from kids menu. She said the Australian beef on it was very tasty. Simple burger though. Drinks are good. Our mojito and espresso martini were done well. Service is really nice and quite quick. People seem to be naturally friendly. The guys at the bar seemed to have fun preparing drinks. Waiter was really friendly and good english speaking. Always available when needed. Really nothing to complain about.
Summary. Place guarantees very good values for money, in my opinion. We paid 1,7 mln, inc. service and taxes. For such quality, really good, this is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThroughout the week trip in Bali (with my friends), we went to Frankie's twice. All I have to say is that it's probably the best restaurant I've been in Bali
Their ribs is a must-try for anyone dining there, the meat is fall-off-the-bone as they proudly advertised. An unfortunate less appealing thing is that the chicken that comes with the Goreng dishes is a bit cold, but I think its an easy problem to fix. I personally ordered fish and chips on both visits. The beer batter is fantastic.
For the dining experience, if you wish to have great vibes with your family and friends, sit downstairs! Their live music is amazing, and their staff do occasionally sing along on their favourite songs. The staff checked on us after the dishes are served and made sure we are pleased with them.
My friend did order a few alcohol drinks, they are all great according to his words. Their milkshakes are great too.
Love the passionated and active staff too.
To staff,
Thank you guys for the amazing food and service. I came with the guy that chucked two...
