Super pleased to have found what we rate as a 5 star Thai restaurant. Upon my first visit, I was warmly greeted by the doorman who kindly found me a table close to a fan to help keep me cool on a hot & humid afternoon. A little while later I was then greeted by one of the Lovely waitresses Listi who accommodated my need for thirst and a hungry belly due to skipping lunch. Was also able to have a full conversation in English. We also laughed together which really made my day.

For dinner, I ordered 1 x coconut đŸ„„ drink, with prawn cashew nut and for dessert I ordered the Mango on sticky rice with their home made specialty coconut ice cream and my goodness everything was presented well and tantalising. Because it was so enjoyable the first time. I told my husband about it. So after he had finished getting his arm tattooed. My husband and I went back again later that same night, to which I ordered the very same thing again because that’s how good it was!

On the second visit our lovely waitress was Ayu. She was polite and friendly who also catered to our dinner needs & had a laugh with me, after all. I went a 2nd time 😆 (I did walk 22km that day). I figured prawn cashew nut twice won’t do ne much harm haha 😆

For dinner — My husband ordered the chicken peanut skewers and the massaman curry 🍛 to which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Would we visit again. Indeed we would. A huge thanks to the chefs ! They’ve done a wonderful job perfecting the food and the employees warm, down to earth and friendly.

Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon and...

Lemongrass Thai Restaurant in Legian: A Taste of Thailand with a Side of Service Recovery Lemongrass Thai Restaurant in Legian truly delivers on its promise of delicious, authentic Thai cuisine. My recent visit was a fantastic culinary experience, but it also came with a minor hiccup that the staff handled with grace. The food was absolutely awesome. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and every bite felt like a genuine taste of Thailand. I would highly recommend the food to anyone looking for a top-tier Thai meal in the area. However, a mix-up occurred with one of our orders, which was mistakenly given to another table. It took a while to get the issue rectified, which was a little frustrating at the time. Yet, how the staff handled the situation truly impressed me. They were incredibly apologetic and went out of their way to make things right. In the end, they didn't charge us for a portion of our meal, a gesture that was both generous and unexpected. Despite the small service delay, the team's commitment to customer satisfaction shone through. Their genuine apologies and proactive resolution turned a potential negative into a positive. For that reason, I still highly recommend Lemongrass Thai Restaurant. The exceptional food combined with their excellent recovery from a simple mistake shows they are a restaurant that truly cares about...

Saw the good reviews of this place and thought I’d try it out myself. Overall, I was mostly satisfied but wasn’t completely blown away. I had the Tom Yum Thalay (Tom Yum with mixed seafood) as the starter and the green curry as the main. The Tom Yum was good and had the typical sour and spicy flavor that can be expected but it wasn’t as complex as I had hoped. The green curry was slightly disappointing. It has three chillies on the menu and should therefore be very spicy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t nearly as spicy, flavorful and authentic as it should have been. I feel they definitely reduce the spiciness levels to cater to a Western audience. It had some other small issues too such as using normal basil rather than Thai basil. I feel this dish was strongly Westernized. While it was still decent, I had far better Thai curries elsewhere. Portion sizes are ok but the prices are too high for what you get and given the competition (especially in light of the fact they they pack taxes and a service charge on top, so it ends up being more expensive than it looks). One thing that is great though is the service: very friendly and attentive! That definitely saved the place from getting a...

The beef salad was delicious, tom yam goong was watery, far from the original, and sweet, sour chicken was ok—friendly service from Iluh. Must deduct three stars because of the tom yam goong and unfriendly payment process. The shorter guy in a black uniform said, ok, with AMEX. I also saw the BCA machine, which always accepts AMEX (as long as they activate the Amex option), so the machine got msg ERROR Call Help, which means the device is not activated for Amex. Still, the guy imposed with an unfriendly tone that my card was the issue and he walked away. I have been travelling for five months now; in Bali & Thailand since April, and my card has no limit. I know that some BCA machines in Bali stores and Restaurants are not accepting Amex because it was not activated. Will I be back? No, because in Berawa, there is a better Thais Restaurant in terms of services, taste & not immediately blaming customers' cards. When you BCA machine works for Visa, MasterCard, and some other debit card, doesn't mean it will work for American Express. You need to activate it.
