LXXY Bali — Restaurant in Kuta

December 18 update to my update: I heard back from the establishment after my updated review on Saturday, and things are worse than I anticipated. They admitted to me that it is actually their policy to limit accessibility! Here are their own words: "after conducting an internal investigation, we found that our security personnel followed standard procedures". Standard Procedures! Standard Procedures apparently are to physically block someone from using the elevator that's right there and force them instead to walk down four flights of stairs that they may be unable to navigate safely. Standard Procedures indeed.

They keep talking about how they don't discriminate and how they're committed to inclusivity or accessibility or whatever, but they also told me "we understand the importance of clarity in our policies and will be reviewing them to ensure that situations like this are handled more effectively in the future". The correct response here would have been "we HAVE REVIEWED [not will be reviewing] them and here are the changes we made...". Instead all we get are vague promises of things being better in the future with nothing certain other than the fact that they literally have not even started reviewing this issue. TWO MONTHS later and all they have to say is "will be reviewing", not "have finished our review" or even "are still working on our review" but "will be reviewing".

Look, I'm not telling you not to go here, but do take note of their own words and what they consider to be so thoroughly entrenched as Standard Procedures that they have still not started reviewing how to fix this after two months. I don't plan to be back. I would have gone back if they had told me whose fault this was, had that person apologize to me, and proven to me that they had fixed not only the accessibility problem but whatever Standard Procedures allowed this to happen in the first place. Now I won't be back under any circumstances. It should not take multiple emails and negative reviews to get something fixed, and if they can't handle something as simple as this, I don't even want to imagine what else they have messed up. to contact them, they still haven't responded to repeated emails.]

Okay first, the food is WAY better now than it was during the buffet days, both in terms of quality and variety. In fact, the recent price increase is totally worth it for the unlimited food and drinks. Frankly, if I lived closer and they fixed some incompetence issues with their security and food service staff, I'd probably be there every day. The main reason I'm giving less than five stars is because the venue is decidedly NOT accommodating for patrons with mobility issues. If you want to ban people who have trouble walking, I guess that's not against the law in this country. Or if you want to post a sign telling people they are required to take four flights of stairs to exit the building, do that and let people make their own decisions about whether to enter. What is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances is to provide an elevator to the roof and only once people are up there to inform them that no matter what their physical condition is they will have to walk down four flights of stairs or be trapped on the roof. I got into a screaming match with a security guard on Tuesday who attempted multiple times to block my use of the elevator to get to the exit. I physically forced my way onto the elevator, but I can imagine this being a very difficult situation for someone with the same knee problems as I have who isn't as assertive as I am and doesn't outweigh the security guard by 50kg. I don't know if management owes both me and the security guard an apology for an evil and discriminatory policy they shouldn't have asked the guard to enforce, or if the guard owes me and management an apology for alienating a customer with an unauthorized power trip, but either way I won't be back until those...

((NOT RECOMMENDED)) Me and my group of friends we booked for LONG BENCH for Min spend including Food & Drinks 2.5 mill IDR on Table no. 15. Upon arrival the Reservation team at the Reception upgraded us for FREE to the VIP SOFA with any premium drink to choose from the list on the board at the entrance. we refused the upgrade but they insisted on us to take it as she clearly mentioned it’s a free upgrade and nothing to be paid. After accepting the offer We ordered (Champagne costed 330K IDN per bottle). All what we ordered is the 2 bottles of Champagne which one of them is FREE and the second one I clearly asked the waiter twice if it’s free before bringing the second one and accepting it . The funny part when we came to pay the bill we got surprised with the amount of 8 mill IDR that was ridiculous and unprofessional or even ethnic and trust worthy to the words said at the door. They mentioned that it’s a miscommunication and that the waiter did not listen due to loud music..in a touristic place with different foreigners it’s not acceptable to have miscommunication as stated by the front desk staff.. very unpleasant and they gave us 30% discount lead to bill costing 6 mill IDR.. Very Bad and horrible...

I've been there quite a few times, before and now after Covid.

I gotta say I really do enjoy the vibes free flow, and the drinks at the club too. The All You can Eat and Drink offers are pretty good too. Surprisingly nice selection of food, and decent drinks too. Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, and Draft beer. The food used to be an open buffet, but now it's from the menu. Really nice choices from french fries and chicken wings to pizzas and pastas. They all tasted pretty good.

The staff was really nice too. Friendly and cheerful.

The club has invited DJs (from various countries) and in-house DJs. They know how to keep a party entertained. Nice deco and lighting, the sound system was great, and plenty of seats to reserve too. People were having a great time at the dance floor.

I am not sure if it's the case already, but I wish they had different genres on different days. I would absolutely love a Psy/Acid music with lighting that goes with it.

Compared to the Engine room and Sky Garden, I think Lxxy has improved a lot and is now by far one of the best...
