So ordered the rib eye steak and my friend ordered the chicken parma. The steak resulted in me chewing every bit of it, only to spit it out. The only way to describe said steak was a beef flavoured old shoe. The steak cut itself was an obscure looking piece with small pieces attached by gristle. My friend only managed 5 bites into a very plain, flavourless piece of chicken schnitzel even with the addition of what can only be described as the top liquid portion of a tomato sauce bottle that has been sitting on your fridge for months. We also ordered a chicken and mushroom pasta take away for a friend getting a tattoo finished, only to discover later that evening the take away container was holding a chicken steak and fries. Strange looking pasta but guess carbs can look like other carbs in the wrong lighting 🤷🏻♂️ Now back to the steak. The waitress was polite and apologetic and took away the dish with the remanenants of the gnawed road kill carcass and offered a replacement of which I respectfully declined. Then comes the bill at the end of the "meal"....the manager has decided that it would only be fair to charge me for the steamed vegetables on the plate which were never touched as the only thing that was appealing enough to eat was the mash. Would definitely avoid this eating place as it was an unfortunate last meal to experience on our last night in Bali. Wish I took photos to illustrate the abomination of a steak...
Read moreI would say we have eaten here 10+ times over the years and many trips to Bali and it is collectively our favourite restaurant in Bali. We are always so excited to come back and have dinner here, and often end up eating here multiple times each trip. We genuinely love it.
The food is amazing. I think we’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu and all of it is fantastic. On my last visit, the ribs (one of my go to meals in previous years) was much smaller and had a lot of gristle and small bone fragments which was a bit disappointing but I won’t let that one minor experience stop me from giving this venue a 5/5 for the food as every other time it has been top notch. Always 2 for 1 cocktails which are also delicious and well made.
The service is always top notch. Our most recent visit was for a birthday and we dropped off decorations earlier in the day and they set everything up for us and made it such an experience for the birthday girl. So much genuine care for providing great service. And the atmosphere is spot on too. Inside or outside, both a great options. Inside has nice ambient lighting.
This will always be one of my favourite venues in Bali and I look forward to my next visit. Always good value for money. You absolutely must try this place out if you’re in Bali to make your own assessment. Promise it’ll...

Sitting at a prime location, with some great hosts who take the utmost of care in serving you, you would expect yourself to have a nice evening. But then the food arrives.
I ordered 3 dishes- the mahi mahi, the spinach tortellini and creme brûlée.
The mahi mahi tasted sweet and spongy, drizzled with an unknown white sauce. There was a distinct fishy taste indicating that the fish wasn’t fresh. The accompanying salad had too much dressing. I quickly worked my way through it to get to the main course.
The main course however was the worst tortellini I’ve ever tasted. The spinach tortellini tasted of raw dough. The spinach stuffing inside was a bland spinach paste. I tried to apply cheese and the accompanying creamy sauce to mask the raw taste, but alas, there was only so much sauce.
Finally, my dessert arrived. My night of bad food was almost at an end. And then the entire surface of the creme brûlée bent as I tried to crack the surface with my spoon. I tried again to no avail as my spoon bounced back. Finally I had to use brute force to penetrate the sticky, chewy, over caramelized surface. I think I still have some sticky caramel stuck between...
