Namaskar Thali isn’t just another Indian restaurant for many reasons. 1: It is born out of passion to serve homestyle food. They serve what they eat themselves. It is owned by an Indian husband and her Indian food loving Indonesian wife. Both of them are chefs who’re crazy about making great food and evolving their own palettes. 2: It breaks away from the typical Indian restaurant style cooking format where the nutrition gets compromised for visual relief and taste. They make good looking healthy Indian food. You will never feel unwell. 3: They’re crazy about sourcing the best ingredients which is difficult in Indonesia especially in Bali when it comes to Indian ingredients. Yet, since the don’t like the paneer available in the market, the make it from scratch. Such is the obsession to give the best. 4: You will feel at home here. Not just the chef couple is warm, accommodating and always smiling, the rest of the staff is also very sweet. Indonesian hospitality is anyways world class and you will feel that sitting here. 5: I’ve lived in Bali for long and tried almost all the Indian food options available. Some are decent to be honest. But when I’m missing home and want a meal that satisfies like no other food, I come here. During busy or bad weeks, I’ll come twice a week. They’ve survived the pandemic which was tough. But now, I think it’s time they were rewarded for the talent they have. If you’re in Bali and you want Indian food, you must visit them. It is an experience and not just a meal.

We were in Bali for a week and explored a number of restaurants there of different cuisines. When we wanted to try Indian cuisine, there were number of options shown online. But for some reason this one clicked and we went there to try it out which turned out to be best for us. Its owned by an Indian guy Rohit and his Indonesian wife. This used to be a small place, but the owners have moved in to this bigger place just a month back. Its a pure vegetarian restaurant. Instead of keeping a very big menu, Rohit has carefully designed a small menu and has paid good attention to the taste of each item on it. Both Rohit and his wife are very freindly and welcoming. We talked at length with them listening to their struggle of setting up this place and their passion to give authentic taste to their customers. Their entire staff is also very friendly and cooperating. We truly felt at home while at this place. We even saw some customers who went to this place for the whole week of their stay in Bali. Though there are many more Indian cuisine options in Bali (of which we tried a few), we loved this one the most. Make sure to visit this place while here and enjoy their warm hospitality as well as lip smacking food.

One of the best Indian pure vegetarian food available in Bali. Namaskar thali has great taste, and great variety, very clean and hygienic. The founders ( Mr. and Mrs. Rohit) provide top-class service to their customers. One of the good things is they have Jain food available and it's amazing. They have a thali system plus a la carte as well. We actually ate all the time at their place during our stay in Bali. They are located in Seminyak. Food is awesome We had a birthday celebration during our trip and Mr. Rohit and his wife helped us in arranging a cake for us too. Even though they don't sell cakes, his wife arranged it for us. Such a great gesture. Very nice people and food Highly recommended!

We saw the positive reviews and were optimistic to try their food.

We ordered bhel puri , thali , and paneer butter masala.

The paneer butter masala that we ordered was tasteless. It was loaded in butter and masala and something was drastically wrong or completely off in the combination of masalas because of which the final dish was devoid of taste. It was like eating a blob of butter with masalas and no salt.

The thali was strictly average. There was a measly cutlet like appetizer overfilled with potatoes and the palak paneer was just puréed spinach with some cream - not the authentic taste. The black chickpeas was average and daal was just ok.

The chapatis were hard even after a copious amount of butter and they were not soft and supple. The bhel puri was not bad but the rest of the dishes left a bad aftertaste.

I politely went and told the lady that the food was not good. This was just feedback - I was not expecting her to reduce the bill or give me any discount. This was genuine feedback but these people cannot even take constructive feedback. Their arrogant attitude is evident from their curt reply of their manager ‘ if food is not good, don’t pay’. First, I did not ask for any reduction in amount. Neither did I refuse to pay for that mockery of Indian food that I was served. I simply gave them constructive feedback and asked them for the check multiple times.

Unfortunately , they do not know what the meaning of constructive feedback is. They just have loads of attitude and did not want money despite asking for the check multiple times.

These people have arrogant ego just because of some positive reviews - in reality their food sucks big time and is not healthy.

In every negative review that they have on google , they talk about fake reviews from partners which just makes me laugh and this behavior is a red flag in itself because in retrospect , they are the ones posting fake reviews through a marketing company they seem to have hired.

Avoid this mockery of an Indian restaurant at all costs - don’t get fooled like we got by the fake positive reviews - save your honor and appetite!! Just read the negative reviews on google before going there. The arrogant lady and her Balinese staff call every negative review as fake. They should first learn to process and appreciate constructive customer feedback before running a business. And save this arrogant attitude for someone else - learn to respect customer and appreciate customer feedback first . You people are a disgrace to the food industry feeding unhealthy food to customers that is spurious and devoid of any taste.

And you are not doing any favor by not accepting money from a customer for serving bad food to them. If you truly do not want the money , you should apology to the customer with a smile on your face and tell them politely and genuinely that it is ok if they do not pay - instead of shameless , arrogant and...

Namaskar Thali in Seminyak is an absolute culinary delight! My recent visit to this Indian restaurant left me speechless and satisfied beyond measure. The experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I can’t help but share my rave review!

First and foremost, the Indian cuisine at Namaskar Thali is unparalleled. Every dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors and spices that transported me straight to the vibrant streets of India. From traditional classics to innovative creations, their menu caters to vegetarian selection of dishes that will tantalize their taste buds.

The best part was the sheer excellence of their dishes. The chicken tikka masala was a revelation, with tender chunks of succulent chicken coated in a rich, velvety sauce. The perfectly spiced lamb curry was a melt-in-your-mouth affair that left me longing for more. And the vegetarian thali was a delightful assortment of aromatic curries, daal, rice, and freshly baked bread that provided a burst of flavors and textures.

The quality and presentation of the food were simply outstanding. Each dish was artfully plated, showcasing the chef’s expertise and passion for Indian cuisine. The attention to detail was evident in every bite, and I couldn’t help but appreciate the culinary mastery that went into each creation.

The service at Namaskar Thali deserves special mention. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the intricacies of the menu. They were more than willing to offer recommendations and guide us through the culinary journey, making us feel welcomed and valued as guests.

The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the dining experience. The soothing Indian music, warm lighting, and tastefully decorated interiors created an atmosphere that was both inviting and cozy. It was the perfect setting to savor the incredible flavors on offer.

In conclusion, Namaskar Thali in Seminyak is a true haven for Indian food enthusiasts. The exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance make it an absolute gem in the culinary landscape. If you’re in the area and crave the best Indian food, look no further. Namaskar Thali is a must-visit destination that will leave you craving more with every visit. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
