Just had the most amazing lunch at Palmy Restaurant and Bar. The ambience, balinese music, service and food were amazing and well worth a review. Have eaten food all around Bali and have to say the Nasi Campur is one of the best presented and tasting we have found in a long time. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. A small welcome drink and complimentary spring roll in a delicious sauce were a surprise and were delicious.... Tried the Chicken and Corn soup (one of the best we have had), Crazy Pork and Nasi Campur as mains.....delicious ++++++ The service and friendliness of staff were fantastic...especially Wayan. He was Informative on Bali culture and tradition and we felt the staff really care about us as customers. Would recommend Palmy Restaurant and Bar in a heartbeat to anyone in Seminyak and will be telling everyone we know to give the place...
Read moreThis was a cool little find. Food is fantastic. Service is on point and prices really good too. They have some sensational cocktails and the staff are hellbent on pumping you full of free shots to keep you smiling. Little did they know, we were already super happy with everything and although unnecessary, the free drinks were much appreciated!! I am not a big fan, but it was still fun to watch people sitting at dinner blasting out tunes in Indonesian on a mic while they all eat. I only marked down the atmosphere due to the karaoke. The place isn't big enough for that if you don't want to listen to someone sing while you eat. Otherwise, it would have also been a 5 as it captures the culture of a buzzing, vibrant Seminyak...
Read moreStumbled upon this restaurant after our day trip to Nusa Penida. Staff were really really welcoming and very helpful in explaining to us the menu. The interior of the restaurant was nice. We wished they had played Indonesia/Balinese music, instead of house music but I guess they had to cater to different crowds.
The food was really good. The had Indonesian, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Western and Vegetarian options which was great.
They offered us complimentary fried vegetable spring rolls and orange juice. We ordered the Pepes Ikan, Ayam Betutu which was very traditional and well done! Meat was really tender and the mix of spices was excellent, served with fragrant rice, urap and sauce. We also had Calamari Fritti, Baramundi and Beef Steak & Cheese. 3 different staff came up to ask about the food and if everything was OK....
