Amazing food, we’ve been coming back to the canggu outlet frequently. However today is the first time we visited the Dewi Sri outlet.
Such an unfortunate experience because my sister found caterpillar inside our pho in the middle of eating. Good thing she is not the type who is grossed out easily and can continue eating instead of puking.
We told the waitress about this problem and they acted nonchalantly and only explained that they used organic vegetables and had washed it thoroughly, before saying sorry (without remorse).
They offered to give us a new bowl but we are almost finished with our meal, and it would only be a waste of food, therefore we declined.
We asked for another way of compensation also hoping for a more sincere apology. However they still brushed us off and only mumbled a half hearted apology while removing the charge of stick crueller which we ordered from our bill (which is only 10k).
It’s very unfortunate, the way that they handled this situation, it was a very awful experience for all of us.
Would think twice before coming back to this outlet.
Ps we would include the photo of the caterpillar but the waitress already took it before we get the chance to...
Read moreI enjoyed Pho Thin last time i was in Bali but since then i have been to Hanoi and personally got to try the original Pho Thin on Lo Duc street in Hanoi as well as a variety of other famous pho places. And after trying all of the famous pho in hanoi, i can say Pho Thin--the ORIGINAL Pho Thin is my favorite pho in Hanoi.
This Pho Thin is obviously named and modeled after that famous Hanoi based chain and i can say while their broth is not QUITE as good, it still tastes like Pho Thin.
And their menu only has one offering, the classic Pho Bo, which demonstrates a confidence that the original Pho Thin Lo Duc also had, that you only need to do one thing and do it well to be successful.
So i will say, Hanoi Pho Thin Bali Pho Thin Other Pho in Hanoi. Which is to say this is better than the average fare you will find in its country of origin; high praise indeed.
But some friends have been saying they have noticed they have noticed the quality of their broth slipping in recent months and have begun to prefer the other major pho place Mevui, and i must say honestly i have begun to agree.
We are spoiled for too many good options in Bali, if Mevui is closer go there, if Pho thin is...
Read moreI’m Malaysian who know how to eat authentic Vietnamese noodle like pho bo. I give low rate because the soup taste not heavy taste like authentic vietnam pho soup. 2nd the noodle is not smooth and thick . The beef slice is acceptable like authentic pho Bo .
3rd the Char kuih stick cruller (actually is Chinese food) which is too small stick . And it’s not Vietnamese food .
4th the food menu is so limited , they just sell beef noodle and some few can drinks like coke sprite and teh botol they don’t even have Vietnamese coffee or Thai lemon glass.
5th , over price !! Because like authentic Vietnamese noodle soup usually sell in Malaysia shopping mall just 50-55k only and it’s selling 75k here , drinks are selling 20k .
Above are negative reviews I hope they improve it . Now the positive review im giving is the nice environment and renovation , toilet also nice and clean . Staff service acceptable .
If they claim it authentic Vietnamese food , I would say they lie , if they claim it as Indonesia style vietnam food that’s acceptable . Maybe Vietnamese food is rare in Indonesia so they have a lot of things need to be improve...
