I want to share my detailed experience at Trans Studio Theme Park. I will devide this review in 3 parts: Management, Park and AirFly.
đď¸ MANAGMENT:
When we arrived, we were informed that AirFly was not available that day. Since this was one of the main reasons for our visit, it was disappointing, but we assumed it was due to technical issues.
The biggest frustration, however, was with the locker system. We paid 30,000 IDR for a locker, only to be told it could be used only once. That meant if you forgot something, you had to pay for another locker.
About 10 minutes after entering, I realized the air conditioning was very strong and I needed my jacket. At that point, I was told I would need to buy a new ticket (550,000 IDR) + locker fee just to step outside. After a very long conversation (almost an hour), the manager allowed me to get my jacket without paying for a new ticket, but I still had to pay for the locker again.
Because of the wasted time, we bought VIP passes to save time. Unfortunately, the experience wasnât consistent. For the go-kart ride, we still waited 50 minutes, and although we were VIP, they let 12 regular guests in first. Out of our VIP group of 5, only 2 of us were allowed to enter. On top of that, most of the racing shoes were broken. For other rides, the VIP pass was helpful, and we skipped lines quickly.
One more downside: although the park was advertised as open until 19:00 on Sunday, some rides closed at 18:00, so we missed a few experiences.
đŞ PARK:
The rides were very unique and creative. I especially enjoyed the scary houses (zombies, maze, monsters) and âFlying Over Indonesia,â which was absolutely amazing. The park is also very aesthetic and immersive, each area makes you feel like youâve stepped into a new story. The staff deserve compliments: they were polite and stayed in character, like the lady with zombies or the monster actor who changed his voice.
âď¸ AIRFLY:
On our first day here AirFly didn't work, so we came next day when AirFly was working to try it out! And oh my gosh, IT WAS INCREDABLE! đ¤Š
One of the most amazing experiences i Bali!
First you get education of what you need to do during AirFly and after that you come and after that you actually do it in special room. The feeling is awesome! It is kot scary at all, it is quite fun and definately worth trying!
We also got amazing instructor, who was very patient with us and who gave us certificate at the end of flight.
It was such a great time here, I would definately reccoment doing this!
đđť Summary: The park is beautifully designed, immersive, and fun, with polite staff and unique rides. AirFly is one of the best experiences in Bali, it was very interesting and so much fun!
However, the locker system is inconvenient and unfair, and the VIP pass isnât always worth it. If management fixed these issues, the experience would be...
Read moreAfter reading reviews, we couldn't decide whether to chance a visit, but I am so glad we did!! It was great fun. We went as a group of 6; two 70 year olds, two 40 year olds, 8 year old and 5 year old and we all had a great time. We paid on the door, arriving around 10am (a bit early!), but spent some time around the shops beforehand. The fee was around $50 AUD for adults and $35 for children, which is the foreigner price. Locals get it slightly cheaper. This includes everything apart from iFly. I had read the go kart queues were pretty long, so we headed there first and didn't have to queue longer than 2 minutes!! The kids go karts are painfully slow, but kids loved them and single ones are much quicker. We did go back on later in the day and the queue took ages. I think there were more double riders than single, but they didn't swap the flow accordingly (e.g. let single racers all go before double, rather than do one on one off). As a result, we did miss one of the shows which was a shame. If you go here expecting a theme park like those in the US or UK you will be disappointed!! But we went with low expectations (based on reviews) and were pleasantly surprised!! The rides are mostly quite tame, but this suited our family given the ages. Unfortunately 'fly over indonesia' wasn't working the day we visited, which was a shame, but all others were. The kids did almost everything apart from the zombie one, the werewolf and the other one similar (can't remember the name). These were pretty hilarious as an adult, but the kids who did go on them were petrified!! Some of the guns weren't working and the 3D on the other ride was a bit questionable, but us adults had a good laugh!! We went on the boomerang and didn't need to queue which was a bonus, so we did this twice. One thing all other reviews are right about is the food........ terrible!! The staff serving were so lovely and kind, but the food was not great. You can't take food in, so you are forced to get something there or go hungry. I would recommend tans studio for a day, but maybe he key is to not...
Read moreBefore entering the park, we made sure to confirm all the rides were operational. After being told everything was open, we bought our overpriced ticketsâonly to find the main attractions, the "thrill rides," were closed.
Which meant we had to settle for the not-so-thrilling rides, like âFear the Walking Dead,â where the only thing you have to fear was the fact that most of the guns didnât work. Then there was âWerewolf World,â which promised ferocity but featured no werewolves and delivered nothing more than what I can only describe as a ratty, jumpsuit-wearing version of Sulley from Monsters, Inc. If thatâs what they call a âwerewolf,â Iâm guessing the next theme park these people make will have an attraction called "Bigfoot's Petting Zoo" with an actual sloth in a fur coat.
Now, the "Illusion House" was a real master piece where the only illusion was the "house" part of the name, because all it really was, was a wall and a slanted mirror for taking pictures. So, if you are looking for mind-blowing illusions, âyouâd have a better time at a department store changing room.
The highlight of the day came during the parade, where I got assaulted by bubbles, and soap made its way directly into my eyes... Iâd like to thank the soap for making "Frank House" slightly entertaining! being unable to see, actually gave the dilapidated mess a bit of wonder..
Desperate to escape this boring nightmare, I wandered through an unlocked maintenance door. Pro tip: If you're looking to flee the madness, don't bother with the go-karts. They were more like stationary art installations that occasionally decided to break down. Maximum speed? Zero to Snail pace.
In conclusion, the most exhilarating thing about this park was the ceiling falling down and the escalator ride on the way out.
With half the attractions being closed and the place in sore need of matinnence.. Avoid this place if you value your...
