MAXX Coffee — Restaurant in Makassar

Stumbled across this cafe by accident but what a great find. Easy parking out front for the takeaway crowd and umbrellas, chairs and tables out front for the smokers. Inside it has the industrial feel, with air con, television, power points for charging your tech and WiFi . There is a range of seating inside both tables and chairs and lounge chairs. The coffee is very nice and there is a small range of food. The prices are reasonable for a franchise type of store which is more expensive than a local shop but cheaper than my hotel. I only took a star off because when I visited the second time the oven wasn't working and I couldn't get anything to eat. emm what to say.. Krn dekat rumah jadi sering banget ke sini (sampai temen sering singgung klau saya pemegang saham terbesarnya lol😂), apalagi ada promo OVO yg bkin price-nya lbih affordable dari harga asli. Taste not bad, but coffee-nya strong bget dan terkesan pahit dan pekat. Macam ampas kopi itu kamu peras, terus dipadukan dgn bahan lain (susu dll) dan walaa, that's your order! Rata2 semua menu minumannya yg based coffee pasti rasanya seperti itu (pahit dan pekat--remind you once again in case you miss that statement)😅 jadi klau bukan penggemar coffee wa saranin klau pgen nyoba pesen yg ukuran kecil aja or blg ke barista coffee-nya jgn terlalu 'strong'.

Kalau mau dibilang, MaxxCof ini dupe-nya Sbux, but Sbux Coffee taste not as strong as maxx. Jadi klau buat anak muda jaman now pasti lidahnya lebih milih Sbux. Menu pilihan klau ke Maxx pasti selalu ada Caramel Macchiato dan Asian Dolce Latte. ADL pahit parah bener ini gak boong (ukuran Maxx), jadi klau udah take away dua macam itu, pasti aku canpur2 di rumah. Taste so refreshing and quite satisfy for that.

if you like blended drinks, mrk sedia pilihan Frappe. Buat frappe, saya sering pesen Java Chip or Signature Mocha (both based on coffee). Menurut barista, Java chip pakainya bubuk coklat biasa, sdgkan Signature Mocha pakainya bubuk dark chocolate alias coklat hitam. Dari perbedaan rasa yg saya rasakan, Java chip rasanya lebih manis dari S.Mocha. I kinda hate S.Mocha, cause it just gives you the 'after-taste'. Lho, apa itu?? After-taste yg gw rasain mulut gw, liur gw, rasa manis2 lain gtu, kyak ada artificialnya. or maybe that's just my mouth that too sensitive. But wa udah sering mnum itu dan after-taste tetap ada. Kinda weird lol.

They do serve other drinks beside coffee(-based). Like Signature Chocolate, Green tea, Cookies n Cream, dll. FOR ME, they are just wayy to sweet so I ain't get any more cups from them.

I do notice they have some (snack) food, but I never order one, so no review about it.

First impressions of this coffeeshop is like starbucks, and it is like it. The waiters are professional and humble, there is so many choices of menu here, cozy place with air conditioner, good coffee and you can make your own just tell the barrista to edit your drinks, it's the good place for stay and hangout, although the parking lot is so limited, so i suggest you to drive a bike to get here, or maybe uber. However overall is good place, im not find any major issues here, if you are hungry you can visit the other store next this place, there is ramen shop and resto next maxx coffee. 4 star from me just keep it up,...
