McDonald’s Mega Mas — Restaurant in Manado

If you ask what is the different of McDonald's in Indonesia and in America or other countries, all i can say is they're serve a fried chicken with rice. Also there is a chicken mcmuffin with sunny side egg. Wierd? Nope the taste is really good. Also for the breakfast time you can buy some chicken poridge also nasi uduk (coconut milk rice) serve with chillie and a few shreds of chicken. Located in a corner near the sea of Kawasan Megamas made this place as a famous hangout for the young people and family. Because while you enjoy your meal, you can also enjoy the blue ocean that looks so peaceful and most of all you can enjoy watching sunset while eating your ice cream or maybe burger. Don't wanna eat some meal? Than you can order a cup of coffee (either hot or cold) from the McCafe (inside the building for sure). They also have a drive-thru service incase the table is full and you probably in a hurry to go to other place. Buat yang berkunjung ke Manado dan bingung mau makan apa. Maka McDonald's adalah salah satu tempat yang patut dikunjungi. Tapi khan di mall banyak tempat makan juga. Keistimewaan McDonald's Manado adalah lokasinya. Berlokasi dalam kawasan Mega Mas, posisi McDonald's yang berada disudut menghadap ke pantai membuat tempat ini menjadi tempat yang tepat dan terfavorit buat kumpul-kumpul bersama keluarga dan teman. Karena pemadangan laut dan langit biru memberikan sensasi yang berbeda saat makan makanan yang kita pesan. McD lost its #1 fast food restaurant status in Manado already a while back when Burger King opened up in Manado. But we still kept on coming back because nothing beats their Triple Cheeseburgers and of course Chicken Nuggets. But this time they really messed it up for us. We arrived at a McDrive that wasn’t working, couldn’t order at the intercom and had to wait until we reached the last window, where you normally get your food. It took about 35 minutes!!! until it was our turn. We wanted to get 2x the new Big Mac Menu but that is as sold out so we ordered 3x Triple Cheeseburger menu. Then it was time to pay and as always I pay with card, I don’t carry much cash money around these days. To my big surprise their system wasn’t online yet, these were the words from the cashier, and she couldn’t proces my card for the payment yet. She asked me why I don’t have cash money on me??? The kids very disappointed of course but we made the best out of the situation and went to Burger King where went through the Drive in 5 minutes, after 10 minutes we had our food and I could pay by card. I have to rate this only 4 stars as this location had only half the food items left as if 5:30pm on Sunday, which seemed pretty early to run out. Otherwise, this McDonald's is stellar.

Come here to people watch, especially on a Sunday when most other restaurants and shops are closed. This McDonald's has a beautiful sunset view over the water, including views of Bunaken. On Sundays, the location is hopping but not crowded, full of families with children doing cartwheels in the grass, teenage friends taking endless selfies, and young couples falling in love. You can watch groups pedal around in music-blasting BMWs with pedal bike interiors while enjoying a rather eclectic (and occasionally too loud) music selection a la McDonald's featuring Coldplay, Indonesian pop, and Michael Buble.
