I visited this place recently, and I have mixed feelings about it. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, but unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. I ordered a salad with avocado and chicken, but it was lacking both avocado and chicken. The chicken was incredibly dry, and the avocado was underripe and too green. We specifically requested a toast without butter, but it arrived with butter anyway. The pancakes were undercooked and still raw in the middle. As for the burger, it was decent but nothing extraordinary.
I would like to bring these issues to the attention of the restaurant owner and suggest improvements in these areas. The lack of avocado and chicken in the salad, the dry chicken, and the unripe avocado need to be addressed. Additionally, ensuring that special requests, such as a toast without butter, are accurately followed is crucial. Lastly, the pancakes need to be cooked thoroughly before serving.
On a positive note, I must commend the friendly and attentive waitstaff. Despite the food shortcomings, the staff members were kind and provided good service throughout our visit.
Overall, I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving the mentioned aspects. With some adjustments, this place has the potential to provide a truly enjoyable...
Read moreIt was 4 of us having dinner 2 ordered the grilled shrimps and 2 ordered spaghettis. When the plates arrived first thing we were shocked to see was the size of the portions. You can see on the pictures, SIX SHRIMPS for a place next to the sea and a tiny portion of REHEATED pasta. I am not overreacting when I say the pasta was definitely old (one could tell they just microwaved it) and the shrimps besides being too few, tasted also old. Each of us also had a cocktail which was ok but also very pricey. . The waitress were super nice but they asked us at the end of the meal to leave a 5 star review which we immediately refused to do. . Instead of asking your (actually really nice) staff to make us give good reviews, start working on the quality of the food you offer in the menu. At this moment you will find much better value for your money if you go a few hundred meters away. . Overall our WORST and PRICIEST meal after one full month in Indonesia. When you pay that much for food that is that terrible, it just feels like a slap on...
Read moreI can't rave enough about this place. Just fantastic.
The food was great, simple, but delicious. Nice cocktails. Exactly what we needed.
The staff was so professional and kind (shoutout to our waitress Esa - so good at her job - its in the small things. Asking us if we have any allergies, whether we want the starter as a starter or for it to come with the main. Thoughtful, professional and just a sweet girl with a smile on her face at all times!)
The live music... wow. We came on a Saturday, the band playing was out of this world. As a musician myself, really, the talent and energy in this restaurant was like no other. Full of happy, smiley people, dancing or swaying to the latino music jams. Such a vibe!
What was supposed to be just a quick dinner, ended up being several hours that we stayed, had more drinks, and just enjoyed every moment. Our highlight from our stay in Nusa Penida.
Thank you Esa, thank you El Ritmo (the band), and thank you Alily for this...
