Title: Disappointing Dining Experience
I recently dined at Sapodilla and unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The service was lackluster from the moment I walked in, with servers appearing disinterested and inattentive.
To make matters worse, the food left much to be desired. Not only was it subpar in taste and quality, but I was also shocked when they informed me that my initial choice wasn't available after making me wait for 30 minutes. The replacement dish they offered was equally unimpressive.
I specifically mentioned my allergy to carrots when placing my order, yet my meal arrived with them included. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to disregard such crucial dietary information.
To top it off, the portion sizes were laughable. I ordered fries and received a measly four pieces.
As if all of this wasn't enough, the staff seemed utterly clueless when it came to processing payments. It's astonishing how they could be so inept at such a basic task.
Overall, my experience at Sapodilla was extremely disappointing, and I won't be returning...
Read moreSapodilla quickly became my favorite dinner getaway when I was in Nusa! I was first drawn in by the soft, warm lighting of the upstairs dining floor, then the enticing aromas wafting from the kitchen, and finally the genuine inviting smile from Budi-- who always remembered me and welcomed me back (such a darling girl with EXCELLENT recommendations)! Personally, I love the Traditional Thai Beef Salad-- it's a vibrant array of flavor and balance that hits the spot every time (slightly going through withdrawals at the moment); but on my last night in town I was delighted when I followed Budi's recommendation for the Lemon Pepper fish--WOW! The presentation was so exquisite I almost didn't want to eat it, and it tasted even better! I love when a chef doesn't shy away from flavor and spice, and it's truly commendable how Sapodilla has done just that with an artful balance that is incredibly satisfying. My compliments to the chef,...
Read moreWhen you take the boat from Bali to the lovely island Nusa Penida, you'll find the nicest restaurant on this whole island right behind the Maruti Port where you arrive. The Sapodilla Restaurant almost hides away behind the 'famous' Nusa Penida IceCream Shop Sugardaddy. I believe this restaurant will be more famous very soon. Most dishes are made from fresh ingrediënts the Chef finds on this island, the plating looks great, the cuison of everything is just as it's supposed to be, and the rich flavours are a really nice mix of some authentic Indonisian cuisine, and Western food. Also the Bamboo Styled restaurant looks really great, the service and the atmosphere is nice, and the price quality is really outstanding. You won't find a better place to eat on this island, and there are many many restaurants. Hope to come back to enjoy the food again...
