Vegan Food available here. But BE CAREFUL , there are quite a few things listed on the menu that say VEGAN but they're not ! They're VEGETARIAN as they contain dairy or eggs , so be sure to read the ingredients before ordering . They should change this really as it's very misleading . We had the Vegan Boss Burrito ; this had good flavour but it was a lot smaller than expected especially for the price of 70k . Maybe the jackfruit on the burrito made the price high? The burgers looked a lot more value for money at 40k and you can have a tempeh one. We also had Smoothie bowls here too which were actually really nice and big too ! They make the base with just fruit and no milk so you will be okay if you don't eat dairy , I did see they had soya milk in the fridge too incase you did want plant based milk . You can pay on card here and we were also able to get cash from here using our card as all the ATMs were out of service . It was a 5% charge to do this . Overall good experience just need to adjust the menu for correct Vegan options as a priority! Staff were very kind and...
Read moreHe we were, wondering what to have for dinner. At first we walked past Happy Eating Penida, thinking there wasn’t anything special about this place. There weren’t many people inside, the fans and outdoor air couldn’t contend with the AC that other places have provided in the past. But we were wrong! After contemplation we turned around and decided to give this a place the chance it deserves. And oh my it was worth it. My Gf and I both got a cocktail and ofc it was happy hour so the BOGOF (buy one get one free) offer was on, meaning we naturally had to get two cocktails each. Once ordering we noticed one of the staff left the premises. Not thinking much of it later on we discovered it was so he could get the ingredients to make our drinks so they did not disappoint. I would like the heads of Sainsbury’s and Tesco to come out here and try this food and ask themselves how they have the audacity to charge £3.50 for a meal deal when this place is serving heaven on a plate for...
Read moreCame here for the first time and got the halloumi bowl and It was super delicious! Came a second time and tried the halloumi burger, we said sauce on the side and it came on the burger. It was also sriracha mayo and not garlic aioli as the menu said and didn’t come with the sautéed onions either. Our second dish (halloumi breakfast) said soft boiled eggs and they were hard. The server didn’t seem to be able to understand.
We decided to give it a 3rd try and got the tomato soup and it was very tangy and not that creamy and tasted like it had chili powder in it? The grilled cheese was underwhelming with low quality white bread.
Overall it seems hit and miss and we think there is probably better quality food options on the island. (Would still recommend the halloumi bowl if you come anyways) The language barrier with the staff could be improved to help...
