During my recent visit to La Bianca in Lembongan, I found myself rather disappointed, meriting a generous 2-star rating for the experience. The evening started on a sour note when I requested to be seated in a specific, empty section. I was asked if I had a reservation, which I did not. The response I received was not only rude but also carried an insinuation that I might not afford their minimum spend of 1 million IDR for that area. Insisting that I would spend more than the required amount made no difference, as I was repeatedly told “no” by three different servers.
For almost two hours, I observed that the requested seats remained unoccupied. Another guest was even offered the table I had asked for but declined it, and still, I was not given the opportunity to move. This consistent refusal left me feeling undervalued as a customer.
The situation further deteriorated when I ordered lobster and was condescendingly informed about its expense, again hinting at doubts about my ability to pay. The lobster never arrived, and when I inquired about it after my other dishes were served, it turned out the order was never placed. By this point, my frustration had peaked, leading me to settle my bill and leave.
On the positive side, the view from La Bianca is beautiful, and while the food was average, it was also pricier compared to nearby establishments for similar quality. Despite my willingness to spend and typically generous tipping habits when treated with respect and provided excellent service, the customer experience here fell short.
Adding to the discomfort, the restaurant was heavily infested with flies. While they attempted to mitigate this with candles moved between tables, the flies remained a persistent nuisance, forcing me to constantly fan my food.
In summary, La Bianca could significantly enhance its appeal by improving customer service, addressing the fly infestation, and fostering a more respectful and accommodating environment for all guests. Until these changes are made, it remains a place with potential overshadowed by glaring...
Read moreMy small family and I thought we would try this place for dinner , I’m usually a pretty chilled patron and will see things with a positive attitude 99% of the time
Firstly it’s an amazing location to eat ( was what made us select here in the first place)
But as we walk in ,the staff had so much confusion amongst themselves that they weren’t sure whether we could stay for dinner or not as there was a reservation at every single table in the restaurant seemingly
after finally deciding that we could stay for dinner they shoved us into this tiny little uncomfortable corner table which was hard to access for half of the table. Luckily it was only one of us that had to go under there but sadly I’m not sure if it was because we were in this corner or if it’s a problem, they have at the restaurant frequently but non-stop we were trying to shoo away flies and I’m talking heaps of flies just continuously landing on your meal to the point you couldn’t enjoy your meal which is what led us to not eat half of our meal
To the credit of some of the staff they could see all the flies landing on our meal and walked over to try get a fan working to help push them away which we think did help a little
The meals themselves were great sadly it was the poor service we got from the staff out front that let us down , I couldn’t wave anyone down for a drink or to pay the bill so I ended up standing at the bar with no one even looking my way
So finally after sorting out the bill we walk out of the restaurant and on our way out of the restaurant it felt like an absolute kick in the gut to see every table still available. That could’ve been the difference between us enjoying a really good meal and having a great location But sadly we were jammed in the corner and got flies for Africa
I don’t think the flies is a big issue throughout the entire restaurant as there was a few people sitting at tables already and they didn’t seem to be waving around flies like we were
Sorry for the harsh review but it’s an honest one and we all left...
Read moreBeautiful venue, very easy to book via WhatsApp I even requested the picturesque table which we got however that is where the best of our experience stopped. It was unfortunately very disappointing. Service was sub-par I really had to wave someone down for service. They were quite pricey compared (spent over $160AUD for 4 people), we all ordered mains and still were hungry when we finished so ordered a pizza to share. Mains review: Grilled Octopus Potato Salad, more greens than octopus and potatoes, the octopus also didn't taste grilled rather were in a batter, potatoes were seasoned nicely but the rest was very bland. Mahi Mahi, tasted very nice, decent portion size however believe it have my boyfriend Bali Belly. Grilled Tuna, average taste compared to others we had at warungs and very small serving. Seafood Curry was probably the best dish out of the 4 but have still had better from warungs. Margherita pizza was delicious on a thin base but we were quite embarrassed to order something so western for it to fill us up.
Unfortunately my boyfriend got Bali Belly quite badly which is why we believe it was from the Mahi Mahi, I had stomach cramps and the other two people we went with had the runs this was the only common place we ate that day.
Would recommend going to the place for a drink just to soak up the atmosphere but definitely not worth...
