They need help. PLEASE. Someone help.

We arrived after sun rise around 8am, and the view was lackluster to start. There was no wait to seat, but there was a wait for food. The service to even place our order took a long time. We waved them down 2 times, and they came over the 3rd time to take our order.

Only half of our order came out. We waited for about 30 minutes for half our food to come out. We had a table of 7, and only 3 people got their food, and drinks. It was very weird. We ordered water, and that did not even come out. My friend is like a fish out of water, he was dehydrated.

I decided to cancel the rest of our order and while the server was cancelling our order, we wanted to make sure it wasn’t being made and asked if it is going to come out soon, he said no. It will be awhile. Please god, take me now. I am now starving.

I walked upstairs to the pastry section to atleast get some pastries that we ordered. I’m not sure why that didn’t come out because it is already made? Very weird. Upon arriving upstairs, I see that the workers are working… but not enough workers. Food was waiting to be delivered to tables. They were getting cold, and the flies were pooping on the food at this point.

MANAGER, OWNER, WHOEVER , please staff more employees to help run your business efficiently. It seems as if they are overworked, and under staffed. Customer service was nonexistent because they don’t have the time. The amount of servers staffed does not equate to how many people needed to be served and helped. After speaking to my friend who has been here before, this was the same level of service they had last year. How are you guys not improving, and only getting worse? I do not blame the staff, I blame the management. This cafe is built over a ledge, hanging on by just views. Don’t let your business also hang on the ledge because after the views is over, your business...

We were a group of 5 and came during lunch time. One of your staff took our order and even repeated it back to confirm (food & drinks), so we thought everything was fine.

About 10–15 minutes later, all of our drinks arrived. Everything seemed okay—until we noticed that several other tables who came after us were already getting their food.

We waited patiently, but after nearly an hour, we asked the staff in charge if she could check on our food. She said “okay,” but never got back to us with any update.

About 20 minutes later (so around 1 hour and 20 minutes in), we stopped another staff member passing by and asked her to check. She actually came back and informed us that our food order was never sent to the kitchen. Seriously? After all that time?

Then she asked us to repeat our order again, more than an hour after we first placed it. Don’t you guys have a system to track this? I even told her to check your POS system and ask the team who took our order—who was still standing right in front of us!

At that point, I was too angry to continue, so I asked for the bill. Shockingly, they gave us the full bill including the food we never received. 🤦‍♀️

She apologized and adjusted the bill downstairs. One of the waiters named Agus did apologize and even offered us some cake.

But honestly—when you mess up like this, don’t ask the customer if they “maybe want this or that.” Just offer a proper solution. Just give something if you really care to fix the mistake. Let the customer decide whether to accept it or not.

The funniest part? During payment, the staff first told us that our order was in the kitchen and being prepared—yet earlier someone else said there was no order at all. Which one is it?

We came to eat. Your team made a mistake. At least try to solve the issue instead of confusing the customer with...

This place came highly suggested from a friend’s friend, so we decided to head on over wee hours of the morning from Ubud to see if we were lucky to catch a good sunrise as well.

Woke up way too early & the 1hr and 45min drive was just unexpectedly cold and chilly for famously-warm Bali, and I definitely would prefer some sort of a windbreaker next time round!

Nonetheless, we arrived about 15mins before it open, and everywhere was pitched black and definitely really, really cold without a jacket! There was a noticeable crowd and somehow when the doors opened, everyone rushed in and thankfully my friend sneaked in earlier to get a gorgeous seat up top level!

We were pretty lucky that this day was a superbly clear day as even hiking views were infamously unpredictable, and it takes a lot of luck to watch a beautiful sunrise without the cover of clouds masking Mount Batur!

Our sunrise was just practically MAGICAL! And we really just hung around for a good 3-4hours at our spot, roaming around this multi-levelled cafe and seeing a variety of changing views across time. Thankfully we ordered some local porridge affair and a warm coffee to warm us up and it was a delicious treat especially accompanying such a gorgeous view!

Overall, this trip to AKASA was definitely one of my key highlights and would highly recommend to visit, especially if you can manage to get an early ride out here or somehow you do have a friend who is willing to drive up together!

Will definitely make another trip here if possible, just hanging around the area felt as though I was partially in the...
