I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tanah Gajah, Ubud, and it was an experience beyond my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the lush surroundings and the warm welcome from the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that my experience was nothing short of perfect. Whether it was arranging transportation or recommending local attractions, their hospitality truly made me feel at home. The ambiance of the resort is simply breathtaking, with beautiful rice paddy views that offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The accommodations were luxurious and immaculately clean, boasting a perfect blend of traditional wooden Balinese design and priceless by Hadiprana. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a peaceful sanctuary where I could unwind after a day of exploring Ubud.

One of the highlights of my stay was the hot air balloon experience! The one and only in Bali. Floating high above the breathtaking scenery, I was treated to stunning views that offered a unique perspective of Ubud's natural beauty. It was a magical moment, gently swaying in the breeze, and truly a bucket-list experience that I will cherish forever.

Additionally, the spa at Tanah Gajah is an oasis of tranquility. I indulged in a pampering treatment that left me feeling rejuvenated and completely relaxed. The skillful staff tailored the experience to my needs, and I couldn't help but drift away in bliss as I enjoyed the soothing ambiance and refreshing scents. Especially the coffee scrubbing!

The on-site dining was also a delightful experience. Each meal was a culinary adventure, showcasing the rich flavors of Balinese cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread, which offered a variety of fresh and delicious options to start my day. And my dinner in the middle of the rice field was the most romantic dinner i have ever had.

The resort’s location is ideal for exploring Ubud’s cultural sites, art markets, and stunning natural landscapes. I found it easy to venture out and take in the local attractions, knowing I had a peaceful retreat to return to. Goah Gajah only 5 minutes from this property, which this is the first story from the Tanah Gajah by Hadiprana was made. An Enchanting Escape to Tranquility

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tanah Gajah Resort in Ubud Bali for three unforgettable nights. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the resort’s charm and impeccable attention to detail.

The villa we stayed in, with its private pool, was a sanctuary of serenity. We were immediately drawn to the thoughtfully designed interior, which showcased an exquisite blend of contemporary comfort and traditional Balinese elements. Every corner of the villa seemed to tell a story, with meticulously crafted details that added to the overall ambiance.

One of the highlights was the secluded courtyard, where we could unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. It provided a perfect escape from the outside world, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature while relishing in complete privacy.

The minibar was a delightful surprise, stocked not only with refreshing soft drinks but also an impressive selection of gin, whiskey, and rum. It was a pleasure to indulge in our favorite drinks without having to leave the comfort of our villa.

The resort itself is a hidden gem, nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the mesmerizing rice fields. The landscaping is simply breathtaking, as if the resort seamlessly blends with the natural beauty of its surroundings. There are two other pools (one is around 25 m in length) in the middle f the resort.

The culinary experiences at Tanah Gajah were nothing short of exceptional. We were thoroughly impressed with the sumptuous breakfast and dinner options. The variety of dishes catered to all tastes, and the quality was consistently outstanding. In particular, the afternoon tea was a delightful treat, with a selection of delectable small dishes that perfectly complemented the serene atmosphere.

While we experienced a rainy day during our stay, it did not dampen our spirits. Instead, it added a „special twist“ to the overall experience. Watching the rain gently cascade over the rice fields from the comfort of our villa created a sense of tranquility that we will cherish forever.

This place is as magical and as breathtaking as it claims to be. The pictures they post online does not do justice to the place, the service and the experience one can experience from.

Their hospitality started even before we arrive. The team accommodate to our frequent requests as we have to cancel our original flights and rebook and change several times on our arrival date.

Upon arrival at the airport, the hotel driver picked us up. He had excellent driving skills and memory. 1.5 hr journey without GPS and he avoided the main roads, avoided the traffic and shorten our travelling time to the resort.

When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted warmly and ushered to the restaurant for welcome drink and snacks. And when our room was ready, they came to pick us in a buggy and on the way to our room, we were introduced to the surroundings of the beautiful landscape of the area.

Room was really comfortable. Spacious, clean, with complimentary nuts and daily fresh fruits. Complimentary laundry was also a very nice touch to the already amazing service.

Ought to mention that the spa session was really good. Best massage we had in a long time. The daily ala crate breakfast was also great. Unlike the usual typical buffet breakfast.

You know how certain hotels offer you club access and you get to have finger food while having a beer etc. This place gives u a 3 tier high tea platter.

And because they have only limited rooms, the common spaces were never crowded. Even with full occupancy, each guest gets to enjoy privacy and comfort in every corner of the area.

I also had to give special thanks to the team. Padmi, Pasek, Dewi and the rest of them at the reception area. They constantly look out for us. We had an evening departure but couldn’t extend our room due to full occupancy. The kind team arranged for us to rest in a private area after we checked out. Comes with shower facilities as well which was god sent.

All in all, they way exceeds our expectations. When friends asks about our trip, I was only singing praises on the hotel. Not the attractions, food nor weather. Not sure if that’s a good thing but we will definitely be back to this magical...
