We went to Tarvern couple of times, and it was oke. But the last visit on august 7th 2020 was disappointed. We ordered mushroom soup, spareribs, fish and chips and 2 beers. The fish and chips was fast served, but it was cold, if it was already earlier prepared. The beer was warm, not cold, and I like only cold beer. The spareribs came and it also was not hot. For the mushroom soup we had to wait much longer and when it came, you ques it already, not warm, if it had stand for a time outside the kitchen. The soup we returned and after a while, they returned it a little bit warmer.
Personal do not know about gastronomic rules. Serve soup first, after that the main course. Not the other way around. I know, Indonesian people really do not care. They play with their phone the whole evening, and really do not know what they are eating. Looking on their phone to themselves, or WA to other people. But I as a Western, I care about gastronomic and good food and good attention from personal. One girl (personal) gave my wife a spoon, but she bend over my plate to give it to my wife.
There were a lot of people in the Tavern that evening, but no one respected any Corona (Covid-19) rules. There was a big table and around that a lot of women, sitting next to each other, touching each other, touching each other’s phones etc. Even personal was ask to take pictures with their phones of some women. After that they did not clean their hands. You have to know: The virus Covid-19 lives on the phones. Also personal were touching each other with bear hands.

Our cocktails sangat lambat datang dari level tingkat atas not from the bar next to our table location.
Order saya medium-rare fillet was medium-raw. Undercooked and arrived sangat lambat much later than my partner's meal, Grilled Pork Rib. Setelah tunjukan the rawness of meat left on my plate to a waitress then she offered me to make a medium-rare. It came as it, a recooked to a medium-rare meat.
What if they cooked my meat to overcooked result? Would they deep or dye my meat to a medium-rare appearance?
I was suggested by the waitress to write a complaint but when I asked for the manager, she offer me utk panggil kapten.
Maaf, maaf, maaf only the key word but after I asked how much should I have to pay for the eaten part of my medium-rare meat, the kapten offers to waive the charge.
This place is not for expat community, we also overheard the lady of our next table saying that kfc is much satisfying than The Tavern!
Grow up Semarang, jgn buang waktu dan uang ke tempat beginian. Eat your lunpia, soto or tahu petis.... we all be happier than being pretender...
