A Flavorful Delight: Must-Try Pork Satay in Semarang’s Chinatown Nestled in the heart of Semarang’s Chinatown, this pork satay restaurant is a true hidden gem that has been delighting food lovers for years. With its authentic flavours, it’s no wonder this spot remains a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The satay here is nothing short of exceptional. Grilled to perfection, the pork skewers are tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The marinade is a perfect blend of sweet and savory, with hints of traditional Indonesian spices. Paired with tangy soy-based dip, each bite is a burst of umami. The atmosphere adds to the experience, with the aroma of sizzling skewers wafting through the air and the bustling energy of Chinatown creating a vibrant backdrop. The restaurant is simple and unpretentious, focusing entirely on delivering great food. The service is friendly and efficient, even during busy times, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served. Tips: 1. Try Bak pao an Bak chang 2. Arrive early, especially on weekends, as this place tends to get crowded. 3. If you enjoy spice, ask for their homemade sambal—it’s fiery and fantastic! This pork satay restaurant is a must-visit for meat lovers exploring Semarang’s Chinatown. Whether you’re a satay connoisseur or trying it for the first time, this spot will leave you craving more.

It was so crowded during our visit at lunch hours, however the turnover was pretty fast so we did not have to wait longer. After we got the table, we did not expect to wait only for less than 15 min for all dishes come into our table due to a very crowded situation and long queue. We tried nasi campur, babi goreng kering, bakut sayur asin, and pork satay. Nasi campur was not on the list so we need to manually wrote it. Actually, it was recommended so we can try every dishes taste. Most of the meats served on the plate were tasty and well seasoned. Mostly were meat instead of fat, that made it really worth the price. Bakut sayur asin was very refreshing and slightly more sour than usual. It was so good and pork was tender. Babi goreng kering was so crispy and delicious. It gave crispy texture to the nasi campur and elevated the whole experience. Eventually after trying all the dishes, I would say the star was their pork satay. They were so tender, juicy, flavorfull, and slightly fatty. I guessed they had already marinated the pork well before grilled them. They also sold bakpao and pretty famous for the quality and taste. Definetely become my favorite and probably one of the best pork satay I have ever had. With such affordable and reasonable price, this place is highly recommended!

One of the best pork dishes restaurant I've ever visited. The building is not spacious, but it has two floors if I am not mistaken. I was lucky enough when I visited I got a table on the first floor. The guests are always coming and the tables are always full. But, the wait from ordering to getting the foods served is not long even though this restaurant is always crowded. The price is super affordable for this kind of dishes. They have various menu. The cookings are delicious and suit my taste. They don't only serve meals but also some other snacks such as bakpao and bakcang. They also provide frozen kekian if you want to fry or cook it yourself. The parking is okay. But if the parking is full you need to park a little bit quite far from the restaurant, approximately only 20m away. Too bad I forgot to take more pictures because I was so excited to eat the food.
