Sunday morning driving away from home, with wife, looking for a place that serve breakfast and coffee.
From BSD to Alam Sutera, this is the one that open quite early compared with the others. When we arrived there are already a lot of cyclist at the outdoor seats, and a couple inside the coffee shop.
This shop located inside an apartmen complex in Alam Sutera area. In the morning, we can easily find a spot to park our car. All the cyclist parked theirs infront of the café. I dont know, if you come here midday or late afternoon, whether you can easily find a parking lot or not, at least you can go under to the basements.
We ordered hot Long Black, single shot espresso, caramel lattè, their uniqe french fries with chilli and teri medan, breakfast omelette.
For the coffee, i really like it, the espresso quite strong and sharp, not to bitter, the volume also just fit for me. The Long Black tasted the same, i ddnt ask them the beans came from, bur it tasted just the same.
The fries also good, no chilli sauce, just dried chilli and teri medan, and the fries themselves quite a lot.
Based on my wife opinion, their omelette also okay, with lettuce salad and dragon fruit sauce on it. Just a small bite in the morning, not to try make full your stomach.
But, this coffee shop have a quite relatively expensive prices for their menu. Well, maybe that because their location, their interior and choosen menu.
Their interior is simple and cozy. You can have a meeting here without worry being disturb by the loud voice outside. Even though this place quite closed with the main road. They play indoor music not to loud, you can still have a small conversation with your partner without feeling annoyed.
Well, they deserved full stars, for you who can afford this kind of place, but no for average students. This for an adult ones, that have already earn their own money and want to have a small hide from outside, enjoying nice coffee...
Read moreCoffees are using arabica and quite concentrated, so a decent one.
However, I felt unwelcomed by the 4th hour i'm here (after ordering 2 cups of coffee and a cake for 2 people). I ordered additional food, repeated by a waiter, but an hour passing, it was not served. I followed up with another server, turns out it was not inputted to the system. I decided to not push through with the order. But then. Around 15 minutes later, right after my fried put down bottle for iced americano (after fully poured it out to a glass), the server come to take the bottle away.
So, if you want to work or do something that need longer time to stay, dont be here.
The drinks ordered was hot americano and iced long black. They are considerate enough with serving a cup of water along with the americano for cleansing plate and a glass of ice for the long black separated with the coffee, so the coffee taste was not thinned out with the time. Food orderred was cinnamon cheese cake, it was okay, but not the kind of "super delicious" one. Quite okay for accompanying coffee.
For ambience, it's eye pleasing and overall okay. But at sthe building is quite shaded by trees, it is relatively dark...
Read moreSuch a lovely laid back place to enjoy delicious food and good coffee (V60 coffee was better than the Americano).
This is a spot I can spend hours reading a book and enjoying the treats available from the unique, creative menu.
Today, I had the Deep Fried Ube Sticks with dragon fruit sauce and the Croque - Monsieur with Egg.
The ube sticks are pleasant, not overly sweet, but not bland either. It has a enjoyable subtly sweet taste and nice texture that is more airy than its deep-fried name would suggest. The dragon fruit sauce complements it very well and I'm surprised more places do not offer either uelbe or dragon fruit sauce in their menu.
The main event is the croque, however. Just tasty and well-balanced, but not heavy. It's a nice light meal that's a step above from similar breakfast sandwiches.
The coffee is probably the least tantalizing, at least with the Americano, but the V60 hand-brewed coffee with Ethiopia-Sadiloya reserve beans made it up. That's a good...
