I understand that some restaurants have a policy against outside food, which is why we asked in advance if we could bring a whole birthday cake to eat there.
First, we checked with the staff. They told us they needed to ask the manager. When the manager arrived, he said it was allowedābut only if we ordered at least one dessert from their menu. Fair enough.
After we ordered 5 glasses of coffees, an appetizer and a dessert (the bill was close to 1/2 a million rupiah), we requested additional plates for our cake. The staff, again, said they needed to check with the manager. When the manager came back, instead of simply approving the request, he said he needed to ādouble-checkā whether we had met the minimum spending (???), then left.
Thirty minutes passed. No manager, no plates. When we tried to follow up, the staff told us the manager had left for a meeting without informing them whether we were allowed to eat our cake. We were told to wait until his meeting ended.
Finally, after what felt like forever, the manager returned. I asked what was going on, and he casually responded, āUh, can. I already informed my team that you all can eat your cake here.ā
At this point, I just wanted to move on, so I said, āGreat, can we have five small plates?ā
And I kid you not, his response was: āDo you guys not bring your own plates?ā
We came in expecting a joyful birthday celebration. We left angry, frustrated, and completely disappointed by the service. What an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service here was terrible. Came for a Christmas dinner, but it was a disaster. booked for 20 people. The service was incredibly slow, and the food wasnāt cooked properly. Even the service felt salty. We asked for the sound system in the VIP room, but they didnāt respond well. Despite asking three times, there was still no response. When I booked the VIP room, the deal included a full sound system setup.
We were served an undercooked grilled chicken and asked them to re-cook it. Instead, they completely burnt the chicken. Just⦠what?!
When I asked why the avocado was so bitter, instead of apologizing, they claimed their fruit was already fully ripened and that it wasnāt the avocadoās fault.
We waited 1.5 hours for the rest of the food, and they didnāt even apologize for the delay. When I asked about the chicken that hadnāt arrived, they responded angrily with, āSabar, sabar, bisa gak sabar?!ā in an irritated tone. Funny, right?
To make things worse, I asked for a marker, and their response was incredibly rude: āGa ada, ga ada spidol, kita ga ada apa-apa?!ā They literally yelled at the top of their lungsāand, surpriseāthe one who was screaming turned out to be the owner! š š
I even confronted the waiter and cashier directly about the situation, but they didnāt offer a single apology. Zero accountability. Zero professionalism.
This was truly a disappointing experience. Absolutely not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAm happy to order their peanut butter and jelly cake. It is tasty. I would come back here just for a slice of it. Coffee can be requested, either pure arabica or blend of arabica and robusta. I requested for a blend of 60 and 40. Resulting a more complex taste, acidity in the level i can still accept for my sugarless cup of coffee. Fruity and earthy, nice combination just like my slice of cake.
Am back as promised (to myself)! Have to restrain myself to try other slice of cake and not order the same pb&j again. Ordered a lemon poppyseed as recommended. It is sweet and tangy, like having summer scooped into ur mouth. I love the texture of the sponge cake, cottony and a bit rough but not dry. Layered cheesecake is ok. It goes perfectly with a cup of americano. Best choice for a less sweet and more savoury dessert. Will come back again for a slice of their mouthwatering...
