BONCAFE KUPANG INDAH — Restaurant in Surabaya

(I have the same reviews for their food and services because they have good standards and they're consistent with their food, but I will review the different ambiance *I will update if I had a different experience).

I like Boncafe, because their design of the place is classic and authentic. Here in the Kupang branch, the place is like an folk diner with wide and joint spaces. It got a welcoming lobby and a well outdoor layout where families can gather and take pictures together. However, the indoors isn't well lit. I have to say it needs more natural lighting.

If you're not from Surabaya you have to visit Boncafe. As a local steakhouse chain restaurant, they have a high standards of food and services, so whichever location you choose it's consistent and it's good.

The taste of the foods and bevs are quite good. The place is very large and the menu is very diverse. If you order a steak, please pay attention when it's served because it's often a bit burnt because it takes too long to put it on the hotplate, especially if you order a type of steak without a level of doneness.

The service is good, friendly, very responsible if there are complaints, and detailed when explaining the descriptions of each menu.

The building is also very clean, tidy, and the lighting is rather dim, yes indeed.

Access to the location is very easy, the parking lot is large, and if it's full, there are valet...

Steak With True Local Taste

If you happen to be in Surabaya and tempted to try Steak with Local Taste then Boncafe is the right place!

Their taste of Chicken Steak was great for Locals, including me, but not for the True Steak Lovers or Foreigners because their taste is too flavorful and too spicy too.

I was once seeing two tourists with frown when having dinner because I am sure their expectation was beyond imagination knowing the taste of this Steak was totally unique to their mouth LOL
