Not worth your time. Just order Mcdonalds.
my order : tom yum packages with rice po pia beef grilled salmon zeet sweet ice tea the seafood egg fried
Service so damn slow, long waiting list still fine, got seated at 2nd floor, no waitress ready at 2nd floor, so its jumbled for sure. no utensils ready no tissue box ready the table still dirty the waitress is not available on 2nd floor so it will be super hard to even try to order or asking anything. ( seeing the 1st floor, 2nd floor indeed not fair ).
again, their waitress seems like lacking of SOP. They didnt give us anything or even menu book ready without us asking. order manythings, get backed with "its already sold out", i came around 7PM, their last order is around 8PM or 8.30PM. So everything is sold out fast. It's fine, changing order into a tom yum and else.
waiting time, the food comes almost reaching 40 minutes. even the drink is coming after almost 1 hour. yes, the food come in is tom yum and rice, and its already cold. The salmon comes 2nd, just like your normal thai food, nothing special. They put my food on my table after long waiting, and guess what? they didnt give me any spoon or fork, yep, the utensil is not there yet, I should ask the waitress to give me an utensils to eat, and they decided to give me much more later, like a damn another 15 minutes, and now all my foods on table is become freezing. My tea comes later, and its wrong order, they didnt make my tea sweet, so i asked them to change again. and they send my tea back a damn another 20 minutes good. lmao
i dont know why they are so freakin slow, where you buy the sugar? take it from greece first? and even the ice tea is no ice anymore due to the looong and slow waiting time. at this moment, i already too angry to even ask my another food to arrive anymore.
asking a box a tissue take too long, another patron side table give me the tissue box from their table seeing me so angry because i cant even wipe my own dirty table.
after i eat my tom yum and salmon for liek 15 minutes, my po pia finally arrive, but im already not in the mood to eat anymore so i give the food to the table which help me with the tissue box. then i procee to the cashier.
guess what, the beef finally arrive after i reaching the cashier, so i asked to take it home. reaching the cashier, they even still including my freaking sold out order that they asked me to cancel, which im not ordering that stuff before. Imagine how chaos their SOP. The manager better fix something or it will ruin this restaurant with their worker. even my other food order is not arrive and im too lazy to point it out again.
food taste, decent. with payment reaching almost 400k per single person, im not recommended this restaurant. You better back ordering mcd. At least their service still count as fast food better than this Thai viral restaurant that their worker work so slow and looks dooze 24/7.
Im complaining in front of the cashier, and the sister behind me also complaining the same stuff, so i've realized that they also do the same mistake ( slow, wrong order, etc ) with even 1st floor service lol
tldr, yep, the service cant save the restaurant. Better train your worker to be much better, we paid for the service too but most of the stuff is even not considered as SERVICE in the end.
theres lots of thai restaurant that have the same taste and quality like Bo-Lan, so to make it much better, improve your service and SOP in your kitchen. Your food is too sad looks for a price reaching...
Read moreI'll share my personal opinions about the food & beverages and also several pros and cons of this restaurant:
I ordered several dishes and this is my opinion: Seafood tom yum soup 10/10, fresh, spicy and sour (i think it's the right amount of spiciness, adjusting the local's tastebuds), and the seafood were fresh mango salad 10/10: just "wow", super fresh, sour, spicy, mixed well with super fresh veggies and mango, can't get enough of it seafood pad thai 9.5/10, the noodles are chewy, smoky, and so imbued with flavour you'd enjoy in every single bites, especially combined with the toasted peanuts & lime juice spicy-basil soft shelled crabs 9/10, flavourful, right amount of spiciness, crispy and tender in the inside, huge portion, and unique after-taste. Can't stop eating it with hot rice oyster omellete 8/10, it took the longest time to prepared and served, it's nutty, crispy, the oysters are fresh and chewy, but i think it can be improved and needed a little more push kailan in oyster sauce 8/10, so fresh, you can taste the crispness of the kailan in every bite thai milk tea 10/10: one of the best in town, super refreshing, right ratio of tea and milk, i recommend you to order the less-sugar version because it highlights the tea more mango-sticky rice 8/10, the sticky rice is so soft and chewy and fragrant, the mango is so sweet and soft (not the sour one), but i personally think it's a bit heavy to eat for yourself, it's a right choice for sharing
Several pros and cons: authentic thai cuisine, decent portions, fresh ingredients also, value for money and for sharing they placed the omellete booth outside so you can smell and see the live cooking from far away spacious parking lot
when i dined in (± at 14.30 WIB) the floor is so dirty. I think the staffs are too overwhelmed with all the waiting lists and order so they forgot to clean the floor thoroughly. Food & oil is quite scattered everywhere, i think it can be improved you have to prepare yourself to wait in line especially during peak hour, but it's worth your time tho
P.s.: I read several reviews about the waiting time after you're seated & ordered, but for me it only took about 15 minutes before my orders arrived, so i think they've improved their...
Read moreBEST. THAI. TEA. EVER.
Biteorbye? Bite.
Why you will love it: Their food! Also their Thai Tea is the best I've ever had in Indonesia. Consistent. Same as the one I've had in Thailand. Here's what I had: -Thai Tea: I cannot emphasize this enough. Get their Thai Tea. It's the best Thai Tea in town. You won't regret getting it. Tastes quite strong but all the elements are well balanced. I once visited just for the tea because when you miss someone, you don't say I miss you too. You say, so when can we meet? That is exactly how I feel about Iced Thai Tea. -Pad Thai Shrimp: This is a sweeter type of Pad Thai, but balanced out with the sourness from tamarind. So if you like your pad thai more savoury than sweet, ask them to reduce the sweetness a bit. Also, great pad thai texture. -Mango Salad: This oneeee. Reminds me so much of Thailand. The sauce, they do it well. As I write this, I kind of regret writing this because now I just crave it even more and I need to go back for this Mango Salad. Balanced sweetness and sourness. The mango is not too sour but just enough so it's very refreshing. -Pad Kee Mao: There is only a very slight hint of basil. It tastes good, but it's not something you have to get. Not my cup of tea. However, they are very generous with the chicken here. So if you like lots of protein on your noodles this might be for you. Great service. They are kind and attentive. And in the end when you pay, they ask what could be improved. That is so nice because that means they value your feedback. Lots of parking space, so this will not be a problem.
What could be improved: They only have one branch in Alam Sutera, so if you're in the area and you want Thai food, go here.
Menu: Iced Thai Tea: 9.6/10 Pad Thai Shrimp: 8.3/10 Mango Salad: 8.7/10 Pad Kee Mao: 6.8/10
Place: Bolan Thai Street...
