Shukaku BBQ, Shabu & Agemono — Restaurant in Tangerang

Shukaku is my first 3 in 1 AYCE experience. Here not only you can enjoy BBQ and Shabu Shabu, you can also enjoy agemono aka fried foods.

It wasn't a pleasant experience, while you can order the bbq meats, you need to get the shabu shabu and agemono contents on one of the smallest buffet station i've ever encountered. There are 4 stations separated by small ailes that barely fit 2 adults. So it's always packed with people. They also combined the sauces, desserts, and fruits with the main ingredients so it's even more crowded. This is the first AYCE restaurant that did this (at least the ones i visited). Please make the buffet area larger and separated the sauces and desserts station!

The cooking experience is alright, but there was something wrong with the bbq grille, i can only used the center of the grille, the rest was useless, the meat even grow colder when i put it on the sides of the grille!

On a positive note, the beef is pretty nice with the right amount of meat and fat although they sliced it annoyingly small.

The decor is neat, it's not beautiful like Fogo or fancy like Hachi Grill, i find a couple of flies on my desk and the waiter said it's normal (hurray...). The ac definitely not enough to withstand the heat of Alam Sutera at lunch time and i think they need to add more exhaust to suck up all the smokes. The team is great though, very friendly.

Yes it's a more affordable AYCE alternative but Shukaku definitely can do...

Went here because i am impressed with the branch in Bandung. The one in Bandung has very good quality of meat, the choices and veggies, all looks neat and inviting. But the one in Alam Sutera, if they are franchisee, it should be retrieved and if it’s same owner, the owner must visit and check the resto often. The staff is okay, no complain although you can feel already they are not so professional. They easily say yes, we have and then 1 minute later said no we don’t have. But let’s start the food, the meat coming with many bloods, i am questioning whether they are fresh or not. The veggie looks sad and not fresh, the corn i tried was sour, definitely outside the fridge for long time. Presentations are messy, especially the fruits on the display. And the worse when we were eating, small cockroaches were running on the table. The restaurant is new, so this can show they are not cleaning well. There are several shabu shabu resto in Alam Sutera and I have tried all and this is the worse, the food selection, the place and the service. If no major improvement, they will not run for long and only ruin the reputation of Shukaku Brand. So sad. Sorry no photos, already disappointed and have no motivation to...

so disappointed on our first visit here! we found Shukaku's pricelist from other culinary website and based on that, our group decided we would take the 2nd most expensive package (in that website, it was priced at Rp199,000 for Paket Premium, while the most expensive package was Paket Ultimate at Rp299,000).

we contacted Shukaku by whatsapp to confirm that we would choose Paket Premium. the staff didn't share us any pricelist or details of the package during our reservation from Whatsapp.

when we arrive, turned out that Paket Premium is the most expensive package (there was no Paket Ultimate, and the 2nd most expensive package is apparently named differently now which is Paket Epic), thus we had to pay Rp299,000/person before tax.

upon our arrival, the meat selections have been laid out on the table. but utensils are scarce, no scissor to cut the meat. it's hard to get refills because staffs are not around and always busy.

selections on the buffet were underwhelming, meat was bland and not marinated enough, agemono selections were also disappointing. no desserts e.g ice creams, puddings etc.

overall with what we have paid, it was not...
