Place looks really nice and high end when you enter and prices reflect the look of the place. I asked for a shot of St. Germain wwhich on their drinks menu it states they have as they use it in a cocktail & sprite to mix with. My drink arrived and it wasn’t what I ordered. When I questioned it with the bar staff they told me they don’t sell St. Germain and that they make their own liqueur. This is totally deceiving and you can’t market it as a brand you don’t sell. They also said they don’t do sprite. Which is different to what the waiter said when I ordered the drink.
After a light discussion with the bar manager they eventually brought me a shot of the liqueur with soda water which is what I asked for. But on the final bill they still charged me for the full cocktail.
They do have makes vegan & vegetarian options which is why we chose this place.
The starter: tempura eggplant Bao Bun was lacking in flavour and soggy. This will be down to the eggplant being fried. This would have tasted a lot nicer if you swapped it for some local Tempe.
The main: Coconut Dosa, when it arrived it looked more like slices of pancake than the delicious Indian Dosa you would expect. This was tastier but still lacking in flavour.
It would have been nice to see a vegan dessert which is what a lot of restaurants forget to offer.
I’m hoping some of the other vegan and vegetarian options tasted better.
My partner who had meat options said his food was great. So maybe you just need to focus on improving your vegan & vegetarian food flavours more.
For the portions of the food you can get much taster food at the neighbouring restaurants for a...
Read moreFood : 9/10 I had chicken & taragon croquette + potato & zucchini tart, both were excellent. Sadly the tart slice was a bit small or maybe not enough salad but the taste was amazing. My mom had tuna tartare + tuna steak, both were amazing! The tuna steak was cooked to the perfection, baby potatoes and asparagus aswell. Finally we ended this meal with a white chocolate and yuzu mousse with soursop sorbet, lemon confit and gin tonic foam (you can see the picture it looks nice). This dessert was in my top 3 dessert all time. I was doubting the white chocolate would be too sweet or the gin tonic foam would be weird but all together that dessert was delicious. A very nice balance of sweetness, bitterness, sourness. Some crunchy with puffed rice, cold with the sorbet, smooth with the mousse. AMAZING!
Price : 8/10 The pricing is a bit on the higher side but you are not eating in a local warung. The place is nice, the food is awesome, and the staff works really well. Could’ve been a 9 or 10 if the tart was a bit bigger.
Place : 9/10 Nice pool, unfortunately we forgot our swimsuits… Very nice architecture and furniture. Windy so it’s not to hot inside. View on the kitchen, perfect to thanks the cooks before leaving. Lovely place.
Staff : 10/10 They were all very kind, polite and professional. We asked for some bread to finish the sauce (the French way) and they offered to choose which bread and they even toasted it before serving it.
I highly recommend...
Read moreWe went to this place for lunch. It was empty, which was great because it wasn't crowded at all. The restaurant didn't have AC, but there were a lot of ceiling fans and open windows, so the air was just fine.
We had pulled pork burgers. For us Indonesians, the size was big enough, and the taste was good. The pork was juicy and flavorful. It didn't come with fries, but I was okay with that.
We also tried the pork belly bun. I asked the waiter to not put too much fat at the pork belly and to sort it out, but it came with 90% fat and 10% meat. It was super juicy and fatty, but overall, the taste was good, and the sauce was tasty. The bun was soft, not dry, and not too thick.
The food didn't take too long to arrive, and the waiters were nice and polite to us. They explained a lot about the food and recommended drinks.
We liked the lemonade passion fruit chamomile. It was a recommended drink that wasn't sour or too sweet. It was really good for the hot weather.
Overall, it was a good restaurant with a...
