Warung Flora — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Shocking customer service. I'm not normally the sort of guy to leave a bad review however we left Warung Flora rather confused, disappointed and angry. We sat down and offered a menu, after a few mins the waiter (owner??) came over to us and rather than greet us, instantly started having a go at us because we had a water bottle which wasn't bought from the premises. We of course apologized immediately but this was met with "well this isn't allowed in your country either so you shouldn't do this it's the same everywhere". I'm all for enforcing your own rules, no stress at all and we happily put away our water but found it very rude for our apology to be met with more standoff-ish behaviour (and for the record not a single restaurant or bar has had a problem with us bringing in outside WATER anywhere in the world). Once that was cleared up, we simply asked if it was possible to have a Nasi Goreng without the chicken and hence vegetarian. We were rudely met with yet another standoff-ish response with "No we just do the menu and so does everywhere else in Lombok". Again, fair enough if it's your policy to not make menu changes but frankly he spoke to us aggressively and rude (also again for the record many places encourage asking if it's possible to amend dishes in Lombok). It's safe to say we left without eating so unfortunately can't review the quality of the food, however I would say if you are vegetarian I'd probably just avoid this place as there's like 2-3 options and there are far better places with the usual outstanding Indonesian hospitality literally as close as next door. Maybe just a bad day at the office but hey never ok to speak to people like that, let alone people trying to support...

We pulled up really excited to try this place as we have heard good things. Immediately we weren’t welcomed in a friendly way and the owner almost gave the impression he didn’t want us there.

Furthermore after just waiting outside without being greeted still for 40 mins. We moved inside to at least check out the menu. My friend saw a table of 4 starting to open up as the customers were just paying. As anyone would we asked if they are okay to see if we can swap a table of 2 for their table of 4 as there were 4 of us. The customers were completely chilled to move but then suddenly the owner completely flipped out and starting shouting at us, in one of the most aggressive ways I’ve seen. My friend was so confused as the customers who moved were so chill. The owner continued to go berserk, shouting and yelling. I love Indonesia and in all of my time here I’ve nearly met an aggressive person, but sadly I experienced that here at Warung Flora.

It’s a shame as the food it’s apparently good but I would not recommend due to the owners attitude and kindness towards people who is trying to support...

was super keen to try this places food, but after waiting 20 minutes outside with our group of 4, we went inside to ask the guy if we can get seated soon. He told us to wait at the front and we did, and thought to order first while we were up there. Then one table of 2 freed up and a couple of 2 was sitting at a table of 4 next to the table of 2 that freed up. I politely asked the couple if they’d be ok with either my group of 2 of my group sit at the table with them and the other 2 of us to sit in the table of 2 next to that table. They said it wasn’t a problem at all and moved right on over to the table for 2 opening up the table of 4 got my group. shortly after everything the owner goes absolutely berserk and makes a huge scene yelling at me for telling his customers to move. And even as I said I understand and tried to end the situation he just kept goin on and on. Terrible attitude. Very disrespectful and unnecessary way to handle the situation. Can’t say about the food because we never got the chance to eat it…. Will never...
