I visited Khan Traditional Restaurant hoping for a genuine cultural experience, but instead encountered deliberate dishonesty and exploitation. They brought several dishes to our table without us ordering them, then tried to charge us for everything. When we objected, they pretended not to understand English — yet somehow had no issue discussing prices when it came time to pay.
This is not a simple misunderstanding. It’s a calculated trick targeting tourists, banking on confusion and language barriers to squeeze out more money.
What’s even more disappointing is that this behavior goes completely against the values of true hospitality — and of Islam, which teaches honesty, respect for guests, and integrity. No real Muslim would deceive a guest this way. It's shameful and disheartening.
Avoid this place. There are many restaurants in Isfahan that are honest, kind, and welcoming — this is not one of them.
