Okay so I tried out both the bloom cafe and the bloo lounge. The café was very average but the lounge was different.
bloom café: the service was good in the beginning. The food was not up to standards at all and the staff kept on coming back and forth raving about how it’s an international café and stuff… not appealing to a customer. The food was all average with the exception of the salmon appetizer, they know their fish. On another note, their portions are SUPER small. We ordered 3 salads for 6 people, all 3 combined looked like 1 salad for 2 people. Lastly, we asked for the bill and they told us they had some dessert on the house for us. It was NOT on the house. We paid about 50,000 in dessert, very poor service. 2/5
bloo lounge: the service was very good as compared to bloom, very fast and efficient and no tricks up their sleeves. The food was absolutely delicious i love their shawarma wraps. Great atmosphere just attracts the wrong crowd for now because of how new it is. Food was...
Read moreAt first I couldn’t understand why this place had such a bad rating. It’s beautiful and it’s in a great location. I soon realised after being shown to my table and then subsequently waiting 45 minutes for two cups of tea!
Not only that, the waiter was extremely aggressive in trying to make us eat and told us that for us to stay we would need to either order a meal or a sweet. He said we should be spending at least IQD 50,000 for the visit. We refused as this wasn’t explained to us when we booked.
The service is extremely bad and despite not being really busy, it was extremely chaotic. There’s no organization from the waiting staff at all. Whatever happened to staff being allocated a section of a restaurant? They’re all running around like the world is going to end. In my opinion, Bloo if it was managed better could be...

For the first 30 minutes, our mixed group didn’t feel welcomed. The staff didn’t speak Kurdish or English, left us standing by a table that took 15 minutes to clean, and handed us an outdated menu. After waiting to order, we were told only large two- or four-person breakfasts were available.
The food was okay—not extraordinary. However, the service was very disorganized; we finished breakfast but were still waiting for bread. They served three people only two small pieces, which was frustrating.
The attitude, service, and customer care were disappointing. While the ambiance and open roof create a nice setting, the service quality doesn’t match the hype. To top it off, we waited 20 more minutes for the check, even after asking twice.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t...
