Me and husband stopped by here to eat after a long journey as it was the closest to us on the road. The experience was far from satisfactory. First we asked for tap water, which the waitress threw two HALF glasses of water. The food was far from memorable. We both ordered 2 curry's, one half and half and my husband had his curry with just chips instead of rice. But when we received our food, on my husbands plate was just curry with his 10 chips on the side on a different plate, however mine had rice AND curry on the same plate and a side of chips. So there was no full portion of chips given to my husband. The rice was also clearly over heated in the microwave as it was all clumped together. We then ordered the missing half chips. We ate everything because we were very hungry and didn't want to waste our money. I refused to pay for the half chips even though they forced me to pay for a full portion even though we didn't get a full portion. It wasn't about the money it was about the service that made it even worse, I think the chef should pay well attention to the food he sends out especially if your giving 10 chips on the side of a portion of curry. The waitress had a disgusting attitude which ruined the dining experience overall, there is poor service in the kitchen and there's no excuse for such disrespectful kitchen service. Overall it fails to impress in both food quality and service. There are far better dining options out there and we won't be returning

My first time in this pub and I was very disappointed. While it had lovely friendly staff, however the premises needs a major face-lift. Dull old fashioned furniture and decor and it's generally dirty, the walls were dirty and need painting, the carpet where I sat was very badly stained and there was a damp smell, the tables were dirty and it was awhile before staff wiped them down. It had the feel of an old dirty country pub, certainly not a modern city pub, its rough and ready and run down, and given its location it could be a gold mine if it got the investment.

Food was very questionable for lunch. I got the barbecue ribs and for €21 it was a sorry sight to witness on the plate. Ribs were tasteless which would’ve been fine if they put on more of the what tasted like generic store bought bbq sauce. You can see from the picture that it was carelessly made. My partner got the chicken tenders which were overcooked and dry. The sauce that comes with them is nice. Overall very disappointed. The only positive was the service, staff were really fast and kind.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD… I was in your restaurant on Saturday 2/11 and was utterly disappointed with the service. I regularly go to your restaurant on a Saturday night for food but the last 3/4 times have been less than enjoyable and similar experiences but this night being the worst. We arrived on the night and nobody acknowledged or greeted us. We sat down on a table for food and waited 10 minutes for menus but were ignored. We made eye contact with numerous staff members but were still ignored. After 10 minutes we decided to grab our own menus. After taking our order the staff member dropped water glasses to the table but no water. Drinks rounds were taking 10-15 minutes at a time to be served. Our starters came which we decided to share, we asked for side plates by none arrived. After 10 minutes and food starting to go cold, we decided to go find and grab our own. The waiter came to clear our starter plates once we finished and decided to disappear and leave us with no cutlery and half the dirty dishes remaining on the table. He even returned with a glass of wine and continued to walk away without taking the remaining dishes or replacing our cutlery. We had to call him back and ask for the remaining dishes to be taken away and cutlery to be replaced. We asked for cutler to be replaced in advance as on our previous visit to your restaurant our main courses arrived with no cutlery after our starter and we waited about 15 minutes for them to be replaced. Our main courses arrived and they had forgotten an item that we ordered which we waited a further 10 minutes to arrive. They also didn’t bring any plates to the table even though we explained to the waitress we were sharing numerous dishes, we waited a further 10 minutes and no sign of the plates to be seen. At this point we had just utterly had enough. I asked for a manager to be called to the table and his attitude was shocking. He made rude facial expressions at us and also said ‘well I haven’t heard of anyone not being able to eat their food of the dishes provided in all fairness’. We got absolutely no resolution for the problem or no apology for the poor service. As a previous manager myself I know this is not the way to speak to any customer. We planned on staying for dessert, coffees and further drinks but after the managers poor attitude we decided to take our business elsewhere. Hospitality is such a struggle for restaurants with the rising costs in this day and age so they need every ounce of support they can get. We would have been regular diners at your restaurant and always enjoyed the ambiance and food. I wrote to your social media team with the exact same review and they had the cheek to respond with a ‘Thumbs up’ emoji not even an apology or a response to the poor service. You will never get anywhere in the hospitality industry with that attitude- I will never give you any sort of business or...

Ok, so I went here before for food with my family and it was appalling. Being in the industry myself I decided I'd give it a second chance.

Unfortunately I had to go to CUH with my son. As he was over 18 I wasn't left into triage with him so I took the opportunity to go have a few minutes of peace and get a nice cold drink.

I opted for a pint bottle of Cider as it was near 30 degrees. I drank this outside in the sun. It was amazing. The next day I woke with a cold sore.

This place is dirty, the food I ate here before was disgusting, over cooked, dry and just horrible.

I didn't write a review then as I contacted management and they sent me a €50 euro voucher for the inconvenience. (I didn't use it and never will)

I'm sorry guys bit it's not that hard to have clean glasses and cook good food. I'm not looking for amazing food but value for money is always required. If I was the head chef here I would be disgusted with my work. I mean come on, this is your profession, where's your passion. Yes I understand getting staff isn't easy. But you should lead by example. People work hard and the earn their money. To pay good money for anything here and get bad quality product is not at all acceptable. You should be ashamed. Imagine it was you who went out with your family for food and it wasn't of a good quality... Not high quality but just acceptable quality. I think you (head chef) should quit as you don't have the passion anymore. And you certainly are not doing your subordinates any justice.

I will...
