Wilton Willow Restaurant — Restaurant in Cork

Unfortunately we chose to dine here tonight 18/09/24, I ordered beef curry&rice, my partner ordered prawn curry with rice and a bottle of house wine to share @€22 total bill just shy of €57, my partners prawns and rice were fine but the curry sauce was like runny yellow vomit with a few frozen peas chucked in, my beef was like leather, it was so sub standard that my Jack Russell 🐕 would struggle to get his teeth into it, I requested to speak to the chef to relay my dissatisfaction, but the waitress informed me that the chef was new and he doesn't speak/engage with customers or entertain their valid complaints/concerns but as a gesture of good will she offered to reduce our bill by €4 euro. In my honest humble opinion this is the worst Chinese restaurant that I have ever dined in, I have never in my lifetime left negative feedback for any restaurant or hostilely that I have visited and if it was possible to leave zero stars then I would have. I have no problems with the waitresses as they were very professional and efficient, but when the chef treats you with utter contempt and fails to address the issues at hand, that I do have a problem with, the food was sub standard and to me that's taking my hard earned cash under false pretences, by dishing up what's basically junk food. Atmosphere is ok nice staff and friendly. The big downfall is the food. If you get food to takeaway its always worse than eating in therr as clearly any resturaunt would want to make an impression inhouse. The big downfall is the food, its so greasy and feels so unhealthy when you get it for takeaway. Salt shilli chicken battwr full of grease, carrots and onion and peppers can be black or seathrew from all the oil. Honestly im getting wilton willow for years but its not what it used to be and i dont think they care about the unhealthiness of their food even though i know chinese isnt health it could definatly be taken care of with a bit more love.

Very disappointed. My friend ordered curry and there was satay sauce mixed with it. She had to go CUH due to an allergic reaction to nuts. Food has no flavour, chips were bland not even a grain of Salt. I ordered chicken satay wrappos and no sauce in my wrappos and about 2-3 pieces of chicken. Could be more but too disgusting to finish. Aswell there was a puddle of oil in my box of food. Will not be ordering from here again ive been starving and this is what I wasted...
