The food was pretty good but the curry I received (Thai green) was a lot more liquidy than a normally one. My special requests for extra extra spicy was upheld which I really appreciate. Cost wise, I was surprised that a medium curry (prawn) and a can of diet coke was just under 18€. That said, the food was piping hot and it was incredibly flavoursome and the ingredients insanely fresh.

Service was great, the two girls manning the order station were both really nice and very helpful.

Atmosphere was a bit strange, the door was left open and the place was completely freezing as a result. Myself and a number of other diners took refuge in the left hand side section of the dining space to try and avoid the draft. Music could be a tiny bit louder as I could hear a couple arguing quietly near me, with the girl in the couple advising her partner she felt ripped off and he should make up a complaint so they could get free stuff by way of compensation. I appreciate that isn't the restaurant's fault, but the place is so quiet it's weird being able to hear other people's conversations so clearly.

Will be back to get take away options for sure but reluctant to do dine in again based on how cold and how quiet the place was. Really hope that they might consider keeping the door closed over to keep heat in, and increasing volume of background music so you don't accidentally overhear other people's conversations.

Overall, if you're going to pick up a decent take away, definitely...

NOT WORTH IT FOR 1 STAR!!!

Ramen Asian Street Food Dennehey’s Cross Cork - 14.08.2024 7:55pm

There were 7 occupied tables and 12 unoccupied tables, including those outside. It wasn’t busy for dine-in, and staff had some time to stand and do nothing.

I went to the counter and ordered the food. I was told that the meals were available for takeaway only because they had no bowls or cutlery available.

This is not the first time you have forced a customer to do takeaway, as I was not the only one who received this lousy service. You have been doing this practice MONTHS AGO!

It was pretty evident that there were plenty of bowls at the side of the window and plenty of plastic cutlery available plus we could see that many customers were eating from plastic cutlery on the tables provided.

My son was starving after the long journey and he needs to take his medication with meals. He asked me, “Why there are children at the other table having their meals for dine-in but we can't?

When I picked up my food at the counter, I asked for a clarification of his excuses but none clarified apart of his defensive and unhappy face with my feedback.

I don’t see any issues to let your customer sit down and eat their dinner from take away container and plastic cutlery as what you need to do is throw that rubbish straight to the bin.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT CUSTOMER TO DINE- IN, PUT NOTIFICATIONS ON THE DOOR AND ON...

Rude manager. Lovely food and friendly staff. Come here about 2/3 times a month and usually get their very good, 6 before 6 meal deal. We came here today for dinner and chose our order to go. As the waiting area was full we waited by the window near the seating area. We were not in any of the servers way, many people were standing in front of us while awaiting their food collection. The manager (I asked one of the very friendly servers who she was as we were so shocked by her attitude) came up and told us "can you not go wait in the waiting area over there? It's says wait time is 25 minutes and you'd know that but are blocking the sign. You are getting in the way of us trying to bring out the food". I appreciate we were not standing in the designated wait area, but we were not blocking anybody and her bad attitude and nasty tone of voice did not go unnoticed as other diners commented on how rude she was. We were standing there for 20 minutes and received our food after moving approx 2 minutes later. Lovely food, great service, friendly staff and accessible with underground parking. Shame about this young "managers"...

Ramen do delicious Asian street food! From wok dishes to noodles to curries! All the food is pretty good! The service provided is very good and quite quick and the staff are friendly! The premises is clean and there are table to offer a sit down option if you so wish to. Its a very casual dining experience. The one thing that I find a bit annoying is that the business is open until 21:00 and yet they will not take orders from 20:30 onwards. This is perfectly fine as a business model and I can appreciate that their staff want to go home after a long day however, I would appreciate them making this known on their website/timetable... I feel this would be a better customer experience knowing that you can sit and enjoy your meal until 21:00 but make sure you have it ordered befpre 20:30... In my opinion I would rather take it home to enjoy!

Been visiting this place since it opened and honestly what a spot. Place is always spotless. Food is always hot. The staff are excellent. Deal with problems straight away and no fuss. The same staff Are always on and you see them joking away with the customers. Adds a good vibe to the place. One girl with glasses and brown hair always at the till when I arrive. Her positive attitude really adds to the restaurant. The 6 before 6 deal is great also. Vast selection of alcohol and drinks. Noticed they have high chairs too and clean toilets.
