Mixed Experience at this Upscale Restaurant Rating: We recently visited this restaurant with family when we were in town, and while the food left a lasting impression, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. Despite the culinary delights, the restaurant's service failed to meet the cost and left us feeling somewhat disappointed. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen. The menu boasted an enticing array of gourmet dishes, and our taste buds were primed for a culinary adventure. As we perused the menu, our anticipation grew, and we eagerly awaited the arrival of our meals. When it came to the food, this restaurant undoubtedly excelled. Each dish was a work of art, masterfully crafted and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main courses, every bite was a delightful explosion of tastes and textures. The chef's creativity and attention to detail were evident in every dish, and it was clear that the kitchen staff were truly talented. Unfortunately, the same level of excellence did not extend to the service we received. One of the most glaring issues was the lack of accommodation for our group which was larger than 6 people. Despite the restaurant having open tables, and the empty next to ours being available, the staff refused to provide us with an additional table to make our dining experience more comfortable. This led to a cramped and somewhat uncomfortable setting, which significantly detracted from our enjoyment of the meal. Moreover, we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant had a policy of not allowing more than four people to share a bottle of wine, even if the entire bottle was purchased. This restriction felt unnecessary and somewhat arbitrary, especially considering the establishment's upscale reputation. It would have been more accommodating and customer-friendly to offer flexibility in this regard. Another aspect that left us dissatisfied was the absence of take-away containers. The children were unable to finish all of their food due to the generous portion sizes, and it was disheartening to see perfectly good dishes go to waste simply because we couldn't take them home. Given the restaurant's higher price range, we expected a more sustainable approach to food waste. In conclusion, while the food at this upscale restaurant was undoubtedly exceptional, the overall experience was marred by subpar service. The lack of accommodation for our group, the restrictive policy on sharing wine, and the absence of take-away containers were all significant disappointments. For the cost, we expected a higher level of service that matched the quality of the cuisine. If the restaurant addresses these issues, it has the potential to truly shine and offer a memorable dining experience that justifies the price tag.

Venue is nice and the staff seem nice. Food however was not nice. The soup came out quickly, and I had nachos as a main. An hour and a half waiting for a plate of nachos. Then they come out and the nachos are burned black, the cheese is cold and hard, the jalapenos are completely uncooked, and the plate was boiling hot so they clearly just threw everything on after the fact. No apologies from the man who served us, he just ran off after delivering the plate. Not cheap either. Wouldn't recommend it for eating, but it seems nice for some pints.

Very poor, if any service. Called into the rendevous last night as myself and my boy friend needed a bite to eat. We were hungry and cold. The bar was busy-ish or starting to get busy, two bar tenders I waited at the bar counter to ask if the kitchen was open/they were serving food? I waited for over 15mins after making eye contact several times with the bar tenders neither of them came back to me and kept mistakenly serving new people coming in while I was still there waiting. Four times this happened until the last person was again even asked standing behind me 'what can I do for you sir?' At this point I gave up and we walked out of there. This was very very bad service. It was clear I was not yet served and I was looking to be and was there the first. There aren't many bars I've ever been in as bad as this even on a busy night out in a pub that's jammed...

I could not fault the rendezvous. We have been there for food as a family and we recently just celebrated my daughters 2nd birthday. We had a fantastic spread of finger food for 10 adults, fabulous variety and gorgeous quality. We were looked after by Josh from the booking to paying the bill and I could not find fault in the whole day. The service was impeccable the food was exceptional and nothing we asked for was too much. The extra attention to detail given to the kids with colouring and ice cream which was really appreciated. Compliments to the chef on a beautiful spread of food. We've also eaten from the main menu previously and the options were fantastic, an option for all. Definitely somewhere to go for a party, a few drinks or a...
