I want to express my disappointment with Spice Temple in Ennis. About a month ago, I ordered a lamb dish and was very happy with it. The food was beautiful, delicious, and came with a nice garlic naan bread along with a sizable lamb portion.
However, my experience took a turn when I ordered again recently. I asked the lady at reception for another lamb dish recommendation. The dish she recommended was very small, almost like a child's portion, which was not at all like the previous portions. The flavor was delicious, but the size was disappointing, especially as a repeat customer.
When I spoke to the manager about this, he was rude. He called me "man" dismissively, saying, "Listen, man." I replied, "Excuse me, I'm not your man. My name is Philip, and I'm a customer. I'm not looking for anything free; I paid a substantial amount for my meal and expected the same service as before." Despite this, the manager kept arguing, insisting this was the normal portion.
Today, I decided to give it another try. I called and spoke to a very nice lady, asking if I could pay extra for more lamb. She said, "No problem, we'll give you a bigger portion." However, the manager took over the call and again was dismissive, trying to make me spend more money unfriendly.
I said, "I'm only bringing this up to ensure the portions aren't small like my last, disappointing experience." He assured me they were standard pieces and offered an extra $6.99 for four pieces. I explained that I just wanted decent portions, not to spend more. It went on and on, a disgraceful experience.
Paying customers should be treated with respect, not as if they are begging. For a takeaway to cost around €20 is a sizable amount. For a working man or woman, or anyone ordering food because they're hungry, this treatment is unacceptable. The service was disgraceful, though the food remained delicious. Very poor customer care and rude...

Me and my partner are huge fans of indian food. Every weekend away we have is accompanied by an Indian meal in the most appetising Indian restaurant we see in the area.
From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right choice. The decor was lovely and the service was brilliant.
Our popadoms and dips were as fresh and delicious. Our starters were perfect too. For mains I played it safe with a madras and it was A1. Very tasty and a just the right amount of building heat. My partner had a Pasanda and she tells me it was as good as she has had anywhere.
Overall after our near decade eating Indians all around the country I would say this was in the top 3 we have ever had. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Ennis.
P.s. it’s very...
Read moreAbsolute pathetic piece of art it is. If you want to just throw your money to vain then be a philanthropist rather than throwing your money to this restaurant. Firstly, the cost of their food will attract you but later you will regret that why you even paid this much. We ordered 5 dishes & all the dishes very absolutely despicable. I don’t come from a lavish family , so I know the value of money…..that’s why somehow we ate three dishes from five. But will never suggest you to go & visit this place. I would have given 0 stars but then I won’t be able to post my perception for this place. Their manager is arrogant to customers if customers are not satisfied with their food. 0 hospitality….0 taste but the bill won’t be 0. Be sagacious & search a...
