Really really disappointed with our yesterday visit in the market bar. Not only did they put together a 2 or 3 course meal that is around 6 euros more expensive then the starter/ main course together if ordered from their normal evening menu, we were also treated very badly from the first moment on even before we expressed our confusion about that change of menu and no possibility to order from the regular menu. My friend is a regular guest there and booked the table for us, they never told her on the couple of phone calls about it and very awkwardly booked her a high seater table although they are well aware of her mobility issues. We said we will leave again as that menu situation doesn't suit us as some of us only wanted a main etc. We were offered a normal order then but were treated the rest of our meal from that waitress very unpolite and disrespectful. Felt also very rushed to leave. Further on it is totally not understandable how a well known restaurant gets away with having no accesible / disabled toilet, in my understanding that is compulsory by law. Aswell there was no propper Covid Cert Check at all. All in all we will definitely not visit that place anymore and want to leave a warning of the current rip off here. (Just a quick example a chicken curry is 15€ and a dessert 6.50€ on the normal evening menu, which makes 21.50 €. A 2 course xmas meal is 27.50€ which leaves a 6€ charge for a complimentary sip (wording by waitress) of...
Read moreWe were on our way from the cliffs of Moher to Sligo on a Wednesday night when we found this little gem of a restaurant on the way. When we walked in there was only 2 other couples there and it remained that way for the entirety of our meal. The restuarant was nicely decorated and roomy. We were told by the kind server we can sit wherever. For drinks we ordered an Orchard Thieves and my partner ordered the special drink which was a Strawberry Gin Fizz. The speciality drink was delicious and an okay deal at 10 euros. Since being an Ireland, we have been trying all the fish and chips along our route. So of course we tried the fish and chips here. The food came out quickly and was hot. The fish and chips definitely were the best we have come across thus far since visiting Kilkenny, Limerick, and Mayo. The star of the meal was the lamb loin which was on dinner special that night at what we thought was 15.5 euros. The dish is one I would eat again and again if I could. It had cut crispy onions on top of lamb loin which was on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. On the side there were peas, stuffing, and pureed squash. It was all so delicious and we finished every last bite since we hadn't eaten since the morning. If I was staying in Ennis and not just passing through I would have gone back the next day for lunch. If you are in Ennis or passing through take time to stop here it is...

True, I underestimated its modest facade and often passed by it in the center of Ennis... But after I visited here for the first time , this is my love forever. 🥰 You can sit inside or outside, I love outside, with a cozy fence you are separated from the bustle of the city and at the same time you are in the very center. Unlike huge portions in other restaurants, which I do not eat myself, here the serving is very refined and at the same time everything is very tasty, beautiful, satisfying and appetizing! Vegan and vegetarian menus are also available here. Dairy-free mango ice cream with warm apple crumble and a light cream sauce won my heart. ❤ I didn't even notice that the ice cream is dairy-free. An excellent combination of cold and warm may not appeal to your teeth, but the taste is excellent. Served piping hot. Friendly staff, very pleasant place, I...
