Francesco's Italian Takeaway — Restaurant in County Leitrim

Been coming here for the last 7 years most Fridays,, I travel from Sligo to francesco's in Carrick-on-Shannon for a takeaway it's 1-hour 10 minutes round trip but it is well worth it... ### where do I start well firstly, food is absolutely superb fish, sausages, onion rings, burgers, and Pizzas also their chips are the nicest freshest chipper food we have ever tasted,, my husband adores their batter burgers, sausages and chips, not to mention the onion rings..... myself I adore their hot dogs,, onion rings, burgers and Pizzas..... I have never once gotten a bad meal from here.. the portions of food are huge 🍿🍣🤗 normally I cannot finish my bag of chips they are so big.... Now to get onto the staff the manager there is so very helpful and plesent as is the rest of his staff,, because I have to make such a long drive home they always double wrap my food in Silver paper to keep them warm for me until I get home.... thank god we don't live too near or we would be eating out of this chipper a lot more often... keep up the good work to all of the team ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ kindest...

Came across this Take Away by chance a few years ago, we now look forward to our take away here on our away trips to The Showgrounds in Sligo following our Club Drogheda United FC, have so far tried out there Quarter Pounder, Kebab, Fish and have to say everything we have tried is top draw, on our last visit on Saturday 15:04:2023 I had the Kebab and I have to say it was one of the nicest I’ve had, their Chips are absolutely delicious and everything is cooked fresh, the Staff are friendly and efficient and everything is spotless, it’s one Take Away that comes highly recommend...

Superb! Their food is top quality, their service is impeccable, their portions are huge, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. My husband and I each had a chicken fillet burger - a large chicken breast in a delicious crumb with loads of gorgeous mayo, onions and salad, and large chips - Wow!
