Gurkha's Bistro — Restaurant in County Longford

We went out on a Wednesday Night, Service was really good, waiter was a gentlaman , we were greeted with a complimentary waiting snack. We went for starters and mains,well done to the chefs here, food was of great standard! I would definitly recommend looking into the nepalese options on the menu as they are quite unique in their own way, very flavourfull! it felt like a little trip to nepal with the nice vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. We were filled by the end of the meal but decided to get Nepalese MoMo dumplings for take out and let our family members try, they were a Hit!! Succulent, spicy ,full of flavour, we will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends. Big thank you for the wonderful experience to the staff at Ghurka...

The food is excellent, probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. A wide selection of vegetarian dishes, which don't taste the same everywhere else. Perhaps it's because the cuisine is combined with Nepalese cuisine, which I love. It's a bit pricey for me, as we paid 76 euros for an starters for two, two main courses, and two bottled beers. But the vegetarian platter alone was enough for me. The portions are also large. There's also a menu for 25 euros per person, so it's not expensive. Overall, I recommend it, for the different flavors than I'm known and the friendly service. My only complaint is the pork belly, which I think is worth mentioning if someone asks...

We had our first visit last night and all we can say is WOW! Food is the best we ever had, we were a table of 7! We had meat sharing platters, the meats were all delicious and succulent. They are served on hot plates, which we loved. Our mains were unreal, our server made some recommendations and we were delighted as everthing was differnt flavours and verrrrry moreish. The Naan bread is so fresh. It was a very busy night and the staff were incredible. Great selection of drinks too! Looked like there was a party in the front room, great atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a great night. We will be back....
