We were seated and ordered drinks, then asked if we were ready to order. We asked for a minute or two as himself couldn’t choose. Everything looked great so a hard decision, that was grand and she said she would be back in a minute . 15 minutes later, we asked a waitress could we order our food, said waitress then conversed with another staff member(I’m assuming management by the clothes) He proceeded to come over to our table,inform myself and my husband “I can put an order in for you, but it’s not going to be 5 minutes, lots of people came in at the same time etc. So do you want me to put an order in?”
We said yes, the waitress came back and took our order. We felt a little put out by this, as nobody else’s table had been approached by management to say this? I understand it’s a relatively new business, but this isn’t the way to treat paying customers on their first visit. My husband asked to speak to the man who said this to us before we left, his answer was that we were expecting our food before everybody else? No we were not, if I was left waiting 15 minutes to order food in ANY restaurant I would ask “excuse me, could we order please”. I’ve also been asked this in my years as working as a waitress. No problems, just people looking to order some food.
Also, 3 seperate times I seen staff eating food in the kitchen. This has an open kitchen, they walked in, picked up food and ate it. Walking back out to the floor still chewing it. Again, the arrogant reply my husband got when he mentioned this while speaking to the same man before we left was, “your back was to the kitchen, how did you see that?” My husband told him, my wife did. As I was facing the kitchen.
I have never ever been met with the customer service we recieved today. My husband is one of the calmest people I know, (it’s part of his job training really), but the way he was spoken to was absolutely shocking. “I don’t know why we are having this conversation?” We were simply trying to understand why we were spoken to the way we were after asking a waitress if we could order our food.
Again, I am aware this is a relatively new establishment. The food was lovely, I have no complaints there, But they have really got to do some customer service training. A restaurant with rude staff...

We ate at this restaurant on Sunday night, which we were really looking forward to. We got a great seat overlooking the town, but after we sat down it all went down hill from there.
We waited 15 minutes for a drink order to be taken. Once taken, a glass of white wine was brought to the table - not a bottle as we had ordered. Once the bottle was delivered it was the wrong bottle of white wine.
There was a bowl placed on the middle of the table with no explanation, slightly risky if anyone at the table had an allergy. We asked if this was for our table as we hadn't ordered our food yet? The waiter then explained it was dough balls - slightly cold and very average.
We placed our food order and waited for it to come out. All that could be heard around us were ''sorry's'' as the wrong orders of food and drink were brought to the customers tables.
2/3 mains arrived, while it took a further 10 minutes for my pizza.
My inedible pizza arrived with overflowing melting cheese, almost 'soupy' like that it was hard to cut it and dripping in oil. I asked another person at the table to taste it to which they agreed it was awful. I have gotten better pizza from a freezer in the supermarket.
I asked for black pepper from another waiter, this never arrived.
The manager on duty noticed I hadn't eaten the pizza and asked if everything was ok? I explained it was really oily and far too much cheese was on it that it wasn't nice to taste. To which he defensively inferred it was my fault because I had added sun-dried tomatoes and ''it was the first complaint he had gotten'' about the pizza. Not how you would think a manager of a new restaurant would handle the situation....
The waiter took my pizza and asked if I wanted it boxed up to bring home, a clear sign no communication had happened between the manager and the waiter.
To add insult, the pizza was still left on the bill.
We will not be returning and do not recommend...
Read moreDire.We went here today.Wife ordered the pork.I ordered the chicken burger.The burger came out not as advertised.It was smothered in bacon(which isnt mentioned on the menu)I returned it and the lady manager offered to replace it but by this stage my wife was half way through her meal.So considering we had to wait for 25 mins for the food in the first place I declined.So I sat there as my wife finished her meal.There wasn't even an offer of a coffee as I waited. We asked for water for the table.Others around us had ice and mint in theirs.Ours was just water.But the manager had served us not the waitress so maybe that was the difference. we had eaten here previously and had to leave after our mains as the waitress didn't come back for 25mins after the meal was finished.( others complained as well) But its local so we wanted to support it.We wont return.I strongly advise people...
