Mekong Asian Street Food — Restaurant in County Longford

One of the best authentic Chinese in Longford town, good service and friendly people no harm done lol. They don't accept card if purchase below Euro 10, otherwise they do fine. Have a customer washroom or toilet which can be used but no dine in at the moment, but take away and delivery available. Yes you can order in advance for collection. Opens till very late in night, so time not a big problem. Noodles all of them fabulous here also fried rice too. Duck also great. If in Longford and looking for night supper Mekong is the name to hit, you'll love it. Am so glad to be their couple of times now, started getting complimentary prawn crackers when buying above Euro 20. On the main street of Longford so will not miss this place. Loved the delicious amply portioned food....prices acceptable..... Decor needs vast improvement... suggest change to Asian lanterns.... direct Asian wall murals...... illuminated aquarium.... discard table and stool pine bases and replace with appropriately styled metal support bases..... perhaps run a full length Asian style carpet down centre aisle......and try innovative Asian and modern background music perhaps with led strobe lighting........make the overall eating experience special.....needs a WOW factor to match the food and service quality....Good luck! I am left disgusted after eating here, l physically took out a hair out of my mouth from the food l ordered here. Upon making the waitress aware, they tried to say it couldn’t have been them and tried to blame me for pulling a hair out of my own mouth. After that they offered to exchange it but at that point l was so disgusted l lost my appetite, l payed and left without even touching the replacement. I will not be returning here and will encourage my family members to not visit either as the waiters have zero to none customer service skills and could do with...
