Rocky's — Restaurant in County Mayo

Accidentally arriving in Castlebar on a Tuesday afternoon, I embarked on a shopping spree and purchased a lovely pair of red shoes. As I found myself standing before Rocky's, a young man opened the door and greeted me warmly with a "welcome in." Time was pressing, and I hesitated, asking, "Should I come in?" His eyes, twinkling with kindness, reassured me, “yes, why not ? “ he said. And I stepped into the empty establishment.

With only fifteen minutes to spare, I decided to have a quick drink before leaving town. Engaging in conversation with the amiable young man, I soon met Rocky himself, who graciously offered me a gin and tonic. Those brief moments turned into delightful quarter-hour, filled with genuine warmth and pleasant conversation.

In retrospect, I couldn't have created better memories had I chosen to remain outside.

I look forward to the day I can return and see you all again.

Rocky’s bar is the place to be in Castlebar! A group of 12 of us went for a couple of drinks in the afternoon, we could not have been made more welcome. The staff were fabulous. We loved it that much we returned much later in the evening after a meal because there was a live band playing, we were not disappointed!! The atmosphere, the bar, the people, the music were all just brilliant, the place was packed out, everyone having the best time singing and dancing. Just what you go to Castlebar for! You have to go and check this place out. Big thanks to Michael and Louise for the welcome and all the other staff, you’re all great. Can’t wait to return! See you again...

Ordered a margarita and it taste of chewing tobacco it was that gross, had Doritos and salsa on the side that cost €10 or €11 said that they make it themselves but u can easily run down to the shop and get the same recipe! Only thing that's new is when they put cheese on it, great effort, bouncers are rude, only the bouncer that wears Castle Court jacket is very nice, the other bounces are so rude that half of them need to be in therapy,...
