Apache Pizza Mullingar — Restaurant in County Westmeath

I deleted my 5 star review to add a new one.

We always get a plain cheese pizza with popcorn chicken (just cheese, no sauce or anything and popcorn chicken). There was one girl who knew exactly what she was doing (unfortunately do not know her name and in fairness, have not seen her in a long time so probably gone) anyway, we ask for extra extra extra cheese and for some reason no matter if we ask for it or not.. it comes out like cardboard! 0.5cm of cheese is added (being generous here). Since there is no sauce or other toppings, we need loads of cheese to make it a good pizza otherwise it always comes out like cardboard.. it's disgusting and gets thrown out to the bin!

I always say it to the staff to add cheese cheese and more cheese and they acknowledge it but does not do it. As such, we just do not come here anymore! How hard is it to use common sense, initiative to realise: "oh wait.. this needs a good amount of cheese since it has nothing else and it will just be cardboard..". It has been a couple months now since I been back so unfortunately I do not have a picture, it just hit me that I must update the review to HOPEFULLY have someone train all the staff to make good pizzas. Ridiculous that they can't make a SIMPLE pizza.. just base, LOADS of cheese and popcorn chicken. Really easy.. but yet they can't make it.

Message to owner: make sure your staff listens to the customers requests and update the app to allow notes again!! Since they removed that note section, I can't leave a message requesting loads of cheese since your staff can't use their own judgement. As such, I needed to always enter the premise and say it at the till which gets ignored anyway. 2 stars is generous because it is not edible (thrown in bin) BUT it is there because chicken tenders and chips are always superb. Ordered double deal for delivery. One pizza delivered and one missing. Delivery Driver baffled and said to ring the shop. Rang, explained the issue and was then left on hold. Eventually came back to ask me what pizza was missing and they would make it up and get it delivered it out. No major apologies or concessions made. We got 2 take away pizzas and normally we love Apache, but we hadn't tried the one on Mullingar before. It was really busy so we thought it must be really nice.
