Quigleys Cafe, Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in County Westmeath

We stopped off today to get 2 ice.creams for the kids, the staff member was lovely but when she lifted the sprinkles out of the round container on the counter I was horrified with the dirt that was underneath it, she herself was mortified and said oh someone must have spilled something, I get that things can get dirty but this was not just something that had been spilled earlier on in the day to me it looked like he hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time, it was disgusting, I took the 2 ice.creams but really I should have left them there as the kids had also seen the dirt and weren't to quick to eat them, the got the bin as soon as we walked away,I would definitely not recommend this place and will never go near it again I could imagine what behind the counter would...

We have ordered a paw patrol cake for our sons 2nd birthday online and it was amazing. It looked exactly like the reference picture and it tasted really nice. Since they closed the office in Tullamore we had to pick up the cake from their shop in Athlone. We got the smallest square cake and it was still huge and quite heavy. It was a chocolate sponge and chocolate cream cake. It wasnt too sweet or tasteless. I wish there is an option to add forest fruits, sour cherries or other fruits. It would elevate the cake so much. Hi , I had placed an order for Gender reveal cake with quigley’s . On the day of delivery luckily one of my friend who visited town centre(Athlone) went to check on the cake and was shocked to see the ruined cake. Where they Baker even refused to replace it Inspite of having enough time to bake another (nearly 6hours for the party).
