Supermac's & Papa John's Irishtown Athlone — Restaurant in County Westmeath

I ordered for 3 veggie burger meals - regular size and the person at the counter didn't bother to clarify if something was not clear to her and ordered regular burger meal which is a beef burger by default.

On receiving the order I was a little surprised the way the burger looked and on enquiring I was told it was a beef burger. We have been strict vegetarians for life and our kid even ate half of the burger given to her , as she was starving without realising it was beef.

I was asked to pay for the veggie burger replacement for no fault of mine and the person at the counter didn't even bother to apologize at least . She straight away came with the veggie burgers , kept it on the table and went away. She couldn't care less.

We are fans of veggie burgers at supermacs and we are regulars here in Athone.

But, this time the experience was awful to say...

Continual dreadful experience for the past number of visits. Order is always incorrect. Overcharged definitely, but no receipts issued. Sections of the order totally incorrect or missing completely. Bought four snack boxes this evening and two portions of curry sauce. Charged €33 for five chicken legs, one thigh and two breasts of chicken. Staff are either totally incompetent or deliberately messing up the orders. Neither proposition is a good one. I will get the standard response about continually striving to improve my experience but I am convinced it is merely lip service. This was the best fast food outlet in Westmeath not too long ago. Honestly if i could leave a zero star i would. I do feel sorry for leaving a negative review as i do not usually do this BUT if you work in a different restaurant and decide to support local business than please do not choose to spend anything here as you are clearly not welcome in Supermacs Athlone. I felt so embarrassed that i stopped by Supermacs and ordered an icecream only to be left embarrassed infront of other customers due to the place that i work for. If i could describe this place in one line that would be NOT EVERY CUSTOMER IS WELCOME HERE. I hope they stop insulting there customers in near future.
