Apache Pizza Artane — Restaurant in Dublin

I HAVE BEEN GETTING PIZZA FROM HERE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS!!!!

HOWEVER!

This was once the best pizza, perfect alightly crispy base with doughy fluffy top with a decent ammount of thick sauce and good cheese, lots of toppings and good flavoured spiced toppings.

Over the past 20 years it went through a few changes but in the past 3 or so years has become the worst pizza I know, I keep trying to order it again in the hopes that i i wou get the old style actually good pizza that maybe it was a new chef and they had no idea what to do but it just gets worse.

Lately the pizza resembles a crisp thin poppadom style base thats so hard and then its its ping not tearing.

The oild being used is a cheap oil that isnt the norm fo pizza and sits on top of the base and just runs off instead of being baked in.

Again the sauce is a runny mess (not that theres much of it) and it just drips off the base.

Theyve been pushing less and less topping for a long rime and aince their 10 euro large pizza deal came out it seems like all the toppings are as cheaply sourced as possible and thwy still use 20% of the toppings that they used to, for example some slices are missing entire or multiple toppings of a 4 topping pizza, sometimes half the toppings wont have chicken when you order a chicken/ham/ pepperoni pizza.

Will never come back. Rude staff and wrong orders. Happened twice recently. Used to be really good but everything dropped - food and service quality. First time got badly let down is order for delivery. Wasn’t home when it arrived and was wrong (my husband didn’t know what was ordered) so i drove back with it. Dinner was delayed by 1hour because of that and I had to ask to refund me delivery cost as it wasn't offered to me. Second time I sent my husband in to make sure everything will be OK. Wrong base on one of the pizzas and pizza with chicken was actually margherita with chicken nuggets as a side! Staff didn’t get their mistake so my husband left with what was ready as there was 3 kids waiting for food in the house. Not mention nuggets are mad spicy - defo not for kids! Wanted to order from this place last week but was told (after pre-paying online) that they wouldn't deliver to my address even though it's less than 5km away from Apache Artane and website didn't indicate that it doesn't fall within delivery area. Was promised on the phone that money would be returned within 2 - 3 days but when nothing happened had to open a PayPal dispute, the refund was then magically initiated just a few minutes after I opened the case. Now will have to wait up to 30 days to get my money back, great... They were also very rude on the phone, wouldn't listen and almost hung up after saying they won't deliver before I could even ask what is going to happen to my order since it was...
