New Emperor Restaurant — Restaurant in Dublin

We have eaten from here often and we were always fairly happy, the amount of curry sauce in their 4 in 1’s is hit or miss - either a lot or very little sauce but not the end of the world. Last nights 4 in 1’s were absolutely disgusting, the chips were dry, cold and hard and the rice was also hard. Definitely reheated! Never had such a bad 4/3 in 1 ever 😫 Lucky we got 9 salt & chilli chicken balls (which were nice) and extra curry sauce as this is all we could eat as the full trays went straight into the bin.

Also the last time we got a spicy bag and there was not one bit of veg and….. no seasoning at all! Now with these two incidents we shall not be returning. Disappointed especially with the other good reviews, we can’t be the only ones who’ve had awful...

Lovely food.. The spring rolls and Chicken Satay to start were the best! The mains were nice (we had Hong Kong Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Kung Po Chicken) however lovely and tasty, lacked sauce. There was like no sauce at all meaning it felt quite dry.

The staff were attentive, which is definitely normally a positive, however they had working about 6 staff for 6 tables and kept lingering around you trying to do things for you, which isn't ideal the whole time you're there.

At one point I took 1 SIP of my water and within seconds she was over my shoulder topping up my glass. When the glass was still OVER 3/4 full! We actually found it funny!

Overall, worth a visit, however, like the rest of Dublin, overly expensive for what...

Had the set near now 78 gone up a lot. Portions much smaller and service was very slow. The delivery drivers came in past is all night to collect the deliveries. It was like O Connell Street men passing by our table and door opening and closing behind us. I think you need to put the restaurant first and let the deliveries wait a bit longer. I still love your food but sadly there was no doggy bag on Saturday which really reflects the Portion. But I still love your food but will sit in the corner the next night.
