Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Dublin

Seriously coffee is a luxurious commodity to be savored and enjoy. Sure you can get a cheap cup of joe anywhere and it has its place if you only have 2euro in your pocket and desperate. It's not about expensive cat excreted coffee beans, that is just pretentious. My mother is not a coffee connoisseur she's 85 and just wants a flat mild white coffee as does my wife and me well an americano with oat milk, hey each his own. Anyway Starbucks in Liffey Valley ticks all the boxes and you can ask for it anyway you want within reason of course with the option of a mild or dark roast which is an important request to get right for your palette. Visited this place this morning, it was the first time to actually sit in and have a coffee since February, well I have to say what a disgrace. When we walked in it was NOT busy, looked around and seen 3 tables had not been cleared off and by the time we got our coffee and went to sit down we had to move other people's tray of rubbish /cups to another table, no one came to wipe down our table or remove said tray. We seen 4 people working, 3 behind the counter and another one wandering around looking at the dirty tables which she just about managed to clear one table, I waited to see if she would come out with some spray to clean the tables but no she didn't. I was not impressed with the service provided. I was asked to sit outside eventhough im fully vaccinated. I didnt bring ID with me as majority of companies do not ask for this. If a company is going to ask for photo I'D then this should be done before getting served NOT after. Customers should be informed of their policy BEFORE placing an order not after. I was already sitting at the table eating when I was forced to leave the coffee shop. The guy was really rude about it also. I showed them my vaccination cert and nothing was mentioned to me bout sitting outside.
