Oh it pains me to write this review. So I discovered this place about 6 weeks ago, and have come back every single week for their Sunday roast. Amazing! The turkey was high quality and thinly carved, along with stuffing that doesn't have onions, which I always appreciate! We came this weekend, and were told they got a new head chef. And although the dinner wasn't bad per say, its completely different, turkey was as thick as a door step, the stuffing had onions (which for my taste isn't good), roast potatoes were a little undercooked. Im very disappointed to say I won't be back :( oh well, it was good while it lasted. I also want to mention that the staff are always lovely and helpful, but when I asked the server that I dont want any ham with my turkey (which has never been a problem before) she was told twice by the new chef "No!" However, I happened to be there recently on a Friday evening for a pub quiz which took place in the upper function room. Overall, it was a good experience although if you're someone who likes variety in their beers, especially craft beers, this is not the place for you. Like many suburban pubs, the place is stuck in a beer time-warp with only the bland, tasteless major brands on offer. [edit] in response to the owner - What I mean is that there were maybe three men smoking outdoors as I approached, but 8-10 men smoking indoors when I entered the pub, between the inner and outer doors. I literally walked through a foul smelling cloud of smoke as I entered, and they were all perfectly happy and comfortable there, as if they'd been let do so for quite some time already.
