East Road Café — Restaurant in Dublin

I wish I had some pictures of the food options here because everything we have had is unbelievably good - but it barely touches our plates before it gets devoured! I promise I'll try better.

My husband and I have been visiting here weekly almost since the start of the pandemic when we suddenly found ourselves at home all the time and really wanting a delicious lunch that we just couldn't produce ourselves at home. Thank goodness they are around!

We have tried all of the sandwich options and I can tell you for sure - Every. Single. One. Is. Delicious.

We have tried a couple of the soups/stew options to take out too and they have also been great and massive portions but we definitely LOVE the sandwiches. Made from freshly baked bread (I believe Firehouse bakery) and delicious ingredients you are sure to be pleased with your selection. We have a particular fondness for the Reuben which I can HIGHLY recommend.

They also have a lot of sweet treat options which are dangerously good!

Forget Aldi, Lidl, Facebook, Google, the Luas extension, East Point Business Park, The Point Depot etc etc, The East Road Cafe is THE best thing to happen East Wall.

From the tasty morning coffees and delicious breakfast menu (the breakfast burrito is my addiction), the pastries, cakes and smoothies, to the filling lunchtime salads and hotpots, everything is absolutely beautiful. I've yet to eat something I did not love, and I've worked my way through a lot of the menu.

The only thing better than the food (and the food is not easy to beat) is the people who work here every day. Rohan, Tara, Ais, Roxanna and Rebecca do an amazing job greeting everyone with a smile, and constantly serving up delicious food and drinks day in and day out.

The place is so welcoming and this is obvious by the same old and new customers you see coming back on a regular basis to eat more lovely food. And if you are lucky, you might be there on a day when Tara is testing out a new receipe or cake for the menu, and get some...

El East Road Café en Dublín es el mejor sitio para desayunar en la ciudad, y puedo confirmar que las críticas no mienten. Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos de una deliciosa comida allí, con platos que superaron nuestras expectativas.

Ella optó por los eggs & avocado with salmon, mientras que yo me decidí por el East Road breakfast butty, ¡y qué elección más acertada! Además, tuvimos la suerte de probar el mejor té de limón con jengibre que he tenido el placer de saborear. ¡El jengibre rallado le daba un toque perfecto!

El ambiente del café es amplio y luminoso, con una ubicación perfecta en la esquina de la East Road. Me encantó la barra con taburetes junto a la ventana, ¡ideal para disfrutar de las vistas mientras desayunas! Y no puedo olvidar mencionar el detalle del dispensador de agua gratis.

El servicio fue ágil y las camareras fueron muy amables y atentas en todo momento. Además, me llamó la atención la nevera con productos de autoservicio, y el surtido de bollería junto a la caja, tuvimos que resistir la tentación de probae para no romper nuestra dieta el primer día en la ciudad.

El único inconveniente fue que mi mesa, al igual que algunas otras, estaba un poco pegajosa. Sin embargo, este pequeño contratiempo no empañó en absoluto nuestra experiencia en el East Road Café.
