Service is quite the joke, considering they’re a cafe and hence fall under the category of a hospitality business. Table reservations for two are allocated for up to an hour each, which is fine for a cafe serving just coffee and pastries I guess, but not in their case since they serve hot food. Service is slow, restrained, inefficient and blatantly impolite. Following a delay in taking our order, the order took over 20 minutes to arrive at our table (all whilst the number of staff were more than the number of customers at the time, no exaggeration). So that’s nearly half an hour of the allocated time gone. Once we had finished eating, we asked for the dessert menu but were asked to vacate the table instead and told they had another booking. They never even brought us the dessert menu. Their shoddy service ate into our allocated table time and WE, as customers, had to bear the brunt of that. Appalling to say the least. They ought to either take hot food off their menu, or hire more efficient staff, or reconsider their business model, ā€˜cause right now they’re just expecting to have their cake...

I never leave reviews but my family and I’ve been getting takeaway coffee here for 2 years but in the last 6 months it’s become very frustrating. It’s now €4.70 for an oat flat white, which I understand with the increase in costs and the current situation for businesses but it’s madness when there’s no consistency to the standard or quality of the coffee. It varies day to day and is evidently dependent on the barista therefore more often than not you’re getting a very poor coffee with very lackluster customer service. Also for a dairy flat white, which the frothed milk comes from an automated machine you would think the price would be worth it, unfortunately not so.

Also the staff rarely smile, lack enthusiasm and I rarely get a hi or how are you when ordering. This is not to say it is everyone as there are some lovely welcoming faces. Ultimately, a customer can never know the extent to what’s going on behind the scenes but I’ve given the place the benefit of the doubt for a while now but unfortunately the cost does not reflect...

Nice spot to get a good bite and coffee. I got the breakfast tacos. the fillings and toppings was really really good, but the corn tortillas turned out to be cold. If the tortillas had been warm enough I have to say it could be one of the best breakfast tacos I have had. This is coming from a guy who moved from california, having eaten some good breakfast tacos!

The coffee was a 3/5. I was recommended the Ethiopian for my syphon, but I don’t think I’ll get that blend again.

Got to say the spot is really cool, well laid out for seating and take away. But the staff that was serving us was a bit too cool for school, wish I wore my APC jumper maybe I’d be recommended a better blend😳😁.

In fairness it is a really nice spot to check out. I have had my enough share coffees at happy out@ bulls island and was glad to have checked out this location,...

Happy Out offers a tempting breakfast menu with an exotic range of coffees, so I felt quite excited as well as hungry when I visited last week with my niece. We spent ages trying to decide because the descriptions on the menu are so seductive, but the food is actually not as delicious as it looks: the bacon was lovely and crispy but far too salty, the ubiquitous piquant sauce hid the flavour of anything it touched and my coffee experience was just average. Idea: why not put the sauce in a separate little pot? šŸ¤” The service was bright and friendly unless you got the surly guy. The plates looked much nicer than the photos show but we started eating before we took the photos - I told you we were hungry!!

The food had far too much added to it.. under it.. everywhere; spices, sauces, it didn’t taste how it should taste. For example the sourdough bread was extremely hard and I couldn’t bite/cut through it, the avocado tasted like mushy lemon juice. Even if I were to pick up the avocado toast, there is sauce all under the bread. It’s a complete mess and nightmare to eat. The sausages had a weird nauseating aftertaste. The only thing I could eat was the poached eggs. If you look at the photo of the tacos, you can’t even make out what exactly you’re eating? The food here is more for aesthetics rather than taste. Coffee was nice though. Wouldn’t come back for brunch. Waste of €37
